Realistically
How good are City – we beat a mid table team with a good home record, they had players out injured and a man sent off – so possibly it was on for a city win –

The good thing is that City came out and took the points, maybe expected, but its what has to be done if the team are going to be up in the top few.

The first thought when City go behind is – oh no, here we go again – but this has happened a few times this season and the team has fought back, yesterday, City not only fought back but they could have scored a hat full of goals, there were lots of chance and not only for the front two, all the midfielders as well had opportunities, if a team make enough chances – some will go in.

The big problem with the team is that some of the lads are on loan, so come January we may have a completely different team – JR needs to step in now and solidify this squad, every week the price (if they are available) of the loaners, if they continue to play like this, will rise.

Realistically City have a great chance to climb out of this division – Maybe JR needs to call the professor, --
But please JR, back this team up –

Come January and depending on our league posistion i think funds may be found.Tell you something if we do get something at Donny and Trannys beat the Tbs :) then for the 1st time this season we should top the 10,000 mark

Its really encouraging being at the top end of the table, but lets not get carried away just yet. We are only four points in front of Scunny in 15th place.

I am sure (at least I very much hope) JR is making plans for all eventualities. If we are still in this position at the end of October then the optimism is justified.

I think as Mall has said above, the key is in keeping the team together, virtually injury free! If we keep playing like we have been then there is no reason why we cant climb out of this league.

The fact that we can come back from behind is a key ! I can remember during the second promotion season we often went at least a goal behind and there was never a thought of "oh no hear we go again" it was more "so what we will win this definitely"

However we need to be putting the chances away and killing games off instead of hanging on and being put under pressure at the back towards the end of the games ! thats IMO of course.

we played with Cheltenham at the end of the game as the 3 minutes added on time drifted by - keep ball was the order of the day as they had 2 decent players upfront in their number 11 and 17 - who i think already have 8 goals between them.
Direct and quick on the break were Cheltenham - keeping possession was key to winning the game which we saw in the second half.
