Definately Etherington for now! Holmes and especially Doyle seem to be getting better and better though imo, so ask again in January! tup:

All the loan lads we currently have are doing very well, perhaps Parker is just finding it a little difficult to find his feet.
Doyle for me is outstanding, however this isn't to detract from the good jobs Graham and Holmes are doing.
What I like about these guys is they're very professional in their manner, giving their all for their job and it's paying off for us.
Previous loan signings
I enjoyed young Matty Etherington here, great pace and very direct, reminded me a little of Giggs, perhaps not developed into a top class player I thought, but none the less very good at the Hammers.
I enjoyed watching Michael Proctor from Sunderland, superb workrate when he was with us and really added to our front line, I'm amazed he never took off on going back to Sunderland, where is he now, Hartlepool ?
Remember Republic Irish Manager Steve Staunton when he was here, couldn't cross a ball, then went on to a distinguished international and club career.

Out of those i put Dele just because of his impact on the team...Real shame we never kept him..
I reckon both Holmes and Doyle will surpass him very soon if their consitency holds..tup:

How old was Staunton when he ws here, i seem to remember Terry Dolan tried to sign him but Liverpool obviously knew something because they wouldn't let him go. Remember Proctor against the dingles at VP when Mike 'Twot'Dean sent two City players off & we were 1-3 down & Michael tore them apart to get it back to 3-3, probably his finest moment in a City shirt. Of todays loanees, i love the enthusiasm of Doyle & Holmes , they seem genuinely pleased to be playing & happy to be here.

Etherington was just top quality, you could see that he was a class apart and would go on to better things when he was here. Honourable mentions to Ronnie Wallwork for giving us hope of staying up back in 03/04, and Proctor for his hard work and that goal against Burnley.
