What is you your favorite movie theme?

We all know the classics Like Star Wars, Gone with the wind, Deerhunter etc etc.... ..and one of those may be your favourite... but if not, what is?

Thinking about it there are two that spring to mind.

The theme from Casino Royale (Casino Royal) [1967] - A pleasent ditty by Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass.

Windmills of your mind (Thomas Crown Affair) [1968] - Sung by Noel Harrison.


I'm sure you'll remind me of some more gems.

For me its got to be "Once upon a time in the west" composed by Ennio Morricone --
Unbelivably moving

Ryuichi Sakamoto - Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence starring David Bowie.

and

The theme from a film wrote by Tarintino called True romance.

And going away from film themes,
As a kid I loved the themes from the seventies shows the Persuaders and Randal & Hopkirk

Where Eagles Dare and the Spaghetti westerns naturally...oh and the Dambusters music..stirring stuff indeed.

The music from 633 Squadron is pretty good too, the Where Eagles Dare theme is brilliant.

The Battle of Britain film is another film with a good tune.

Another favourite is the Great Escape.

Although the Mission Impossible films were poor, the theme is superb.
