Talks are ongoing to restore CITY fans back into the BRADFORD END and move away fans into the three blocks to the right of the Mid.RD.
This may mean closing the upper KOP and these fans moving to the Dallas, what do you thihk,,, its been asked for ...Julian has no problems with it...does it affect you....Look at it this way...we would have CITY fans BEHIND both goals............NO away fans egging their players on at close range......
Great idea... don't yah think.Your views........

I think it would be a great idea to give the Bradford End back to us, but why shut the upper kop?....doesn't affect me but if we had a choice, surely that would be better? ....the majority of away fans at VP these days would surely fit into 1 or 2 blocks in the YF stand anyhow so it makes sense IMOtup:

It's been raised many times before and time and again everyone agrees it would be a good idea except those that sit in the top of the Kop.
No point even raising the issue unless you want a few handbags!

Its a great idea Stu.tup:
Hopefully you will have a better debate on here about the move, rather than the little fcuking idiots on the OMB spoiling it.
At least JR is willing to listen and take on board your proposals and thats a start.

That's the only problem I can see, the fact that some won't want to move from the top of the kop and will kick up a fuss about it, as some of the ciba lot did when the they were told moved for a just couple of games, so it'll be worse!
It'll be a great atmosphere having Bradford fans at both ends and it should help the team because they'll be attacking towards our fans in both halves and it should lift them!
Personally I hate the view from the TL Dallas stand (especially the lower tier) but I know for a fact some love it so the idea could certainly work! tup:

I sit in the upper kop and I'd be prepared to move for a game to test the water in the TLDallas stand. (Didn't it used to be called the family stand?)
Top tier though, I can't do with being at pitch level watching a game. When my mate broke his leg a few years back we sat in the Ciba a few times on the front row and I felt like I was "under" the action if that's possible!

Ill take a shot at answering this if I may Sunwinman even though I am no longer a season ticket holder and have only managed to attend two games this season. First and foremost a big well-done to you for putting the time and effort in to improve the fans match day experience, it’s not something I have the time or motivation to do so thank you.
Now onto the issue of the stands: - We all know that the idea of returning the Bradford end to the fans has been banded round time and time again but never actually happened so you may find it hits several brick walls along the way. I do however think it is a battle that is well worth fighting and as you rightly say it should improve the atmosphere in the ground.
Couple this with the plan to bring the fans down from the top tiers and I think a big difference will be made. When Blackburn were relegated from the Premier League they instantly made the decision to shut the top tiers to make the ground appear full for the cameras and also to keep the atmosphere up. I’m sure there are many other cases but that is the one that instantly stands out to me. We are now in League One and with only 7-8000 fans scattered around 22,000 seats it is impossible to get the noise levels up. If we manage to get the Sunwin, Ciba Kop, and Bradford End looking full we could get a great atmosphere and potentially a good Mexican wave!!!! tup: In short get the fans together, get a good noise going. Also as you have said on the OMB it is bound to lift the players and hopefully improve the overall match day experience. This could all tie in with FKAMs thread on a City anthem too.
Surely it will also be more financially viable as the upper tier Kiosks will be shut and the stewards in there can be moved across to the Ciba to ensure that that stand is segregated properly.
Finally back to the Bradford End, it would be great to have the team attacking City fans at both ends and also to have the City fans backing the City Keeper. Perhaps the club could reduce the prices in this stand and maybe allow a band in there and flags and balloons, from there it could spread out into the rest of the ground with flags and balloons Claret and Amber everywhere isn’t this what it should be all about. Fortress Valley Parade with the war cry from the city fans. On top of that it would surely affect the Refs and they would have to walk alongside City fans rather than the opposition, im sure that effects his decision throughout the game which is why we never get a bloomin home ref performance.
Anyhoo sorry for the long drawn out response that basically says “ yes I think it’s a good idea” :D

Agree 100% - shut the top tiers of the kop and sunwin (like it is already) - so what that there'll be a few moaners, its for the greater good - better atmosphere and as mentioned above looks better on camera - at present were rattling round in a ground 5 times bigger than what it needs to be - bring the fans down to one level and let us have the Bradford end back - i'll bet thee owt that it will help to improve the atmosphere, i'm sure the lads who'd be singing in the TL Dallas would be chanting "kop boys give us a song" etc and vica versa - it could get some good banter going and again help improve the atmosphere!!....
The away fans at present have an advantage over us in that they're right next to the tunnel - it should be us there encouraging the team and giving **** to the opposition and refereee - not the away fans!!

I'd like to see fans behind both goals, I think it give you an edge when your attacking the end with your fans behind the goal.
I'll still be sticking to the bantams bar though.

I think the idea is sound.
A year or so ago I suggested ripping the seats out of the Bradford end lower tier and get the 'singers' in there at 'cheap as chips' prices.....you'd be surprised how many folk would prefer to stand up.

Seems like a decent idea but ideally we'd only use the centre of the TL Dallas stand between the massive poles that block your view. I think it got voted one of the worst designed stands in football a while ago. I sat there for an England U-21 game in lower tier. View wasn't bad, atmosphere was quite good and I like the idea of a small terracing section for those traditionalists and many of the younger people who will never have stood on terracing at Valley Parade.
As for flags, banners and drums etc , that would be way too much fun and enjoyment. The stewards would never accept that. :D Flags would probably not be allowed over advertising hoardings as they would cover the sponsors up. Might as well close the upper tiers, save money on staff and get all the fans more together and enclosed.

Standing! I'd move straight away if they did that - nothing better at a footy game than standing
although, slightley off subject, can anyone tell me why everybody stands at half time...and hardly at all throughout the game?? Always confuses me.
But yer, City end back - great idea, didn't we have a petition about it a few years back??

But wtf would he know, organ grinder and monkey spring to mind.
Have you had a look at the OMB lately. I visited it today and its a bleeding disgrace. Every thread is hijacked for some petty score settling, half the board are moaning about it and the other half taking the piss.
Shame it was a lot better with the last tenants :D :D :D

Totally agree Wykie, it was the state of the OMB that brought over here to C&B, the thing is a total shambles, all i said was i saw or heard somewhere that standing would never be an option at VP

I think it would be quality to move to bradford end, I watched my first ever city match in that stand, beating wigan in 92, think the atmosphere would be better in that stand aswell with ppl banging on the back of the stand. Is there a petition what ppl can sign or anything? Should try get like 1,000 1,500 signatures to give to julian rhodes then there would be no reason to not let it happen.

Firstly i will declare i sit in the Kop upper tier.
While it would be good to see the Bradford End returned to City fans why does this mean the upper tier Kop have to be closed. More sit in the upper tier than the lower so why not close the lower.
Suggest that this is trialled at a couple of games with all the stands open to see how people vote with their feet.

Thanks for the replies, its seems from most replies here and on the OMB that most are in faviour, yes there may be problems but I can't see any REAL ones.the main reason for NO is the old get out H&Safety, well this is dead in the water because the Midland Rd was built to take away fans ,thats why it has steel doors across he middle, it also has a food outlet.
Fans exit into the Midland Rd to there coaches anyway.
Trouble is very rare, usually away from a ground, Look at St. James Park, you sit two feet from the home fans, NO segregation,,,and thats in the Pem.
But the overriding PLUS in my view, and one I will use as the main arguement is that we will have fans behind BOTH goals , thus taking away the intimidation by away fans, they have done this at Bellend Rd, and moved away fans into the Corner.
Someone mentioned , What happens if we sell out the three blocks in the
YFStand, well lets hope we do, this though is a long way off, and a nice problem to be faced with, but even when Huddersfield came they did not sell all their tickets............ anyway, thats for the future and not a relavant arguement at this time.
I know that this idea has been played with before, but a fresh attack, backed up by the Trust, and E-mails from fans to the Club can only build up a good case, I and Steve will keep on at the Club to get this approved.......

It's interesting to see so many people wanting the old Bradford End back for the home fans. If this happened I'd probably watch one game from there just for nostalgic reasons.
However, I'm not so sure it'd be as beneficial as first appears, wouldn't it dilute they already sparse vocal crowd in the kop. Isn't the Dallas stand also poor from a spectators point of view, with some areas restricted viewing.
If, we were a little more successful on the pitch, and the crowds increased then maybe it would work in our favour to occupy that end.

Think I have only sat in there on the one occasion, and I seemed fine to me. However, I have never been in favour of putting the away fans next to mejawdrop: I think we should put them as far away as possible from the pitch, thereby denying them a chance to celebrate with their fans. Newcastle do it, we needed binnoculars to see the action. Upper Sunwin, right in the middle:p sorted.

Personally, i wasn't a fan of this before the game today, but i've changed my mind. This is because the ref gave brighton a penalty, simply because their fans shouted for it. Weathers got the ball, and yet a penalty. Move them to the top of the sunwin stand, i say.
