Has Julian ever sacked anyone?
Robbo left on his own accord, GR did the sackings when he was around and the ginger one sacked Law didn't he?
Perhaps Julian has wanted Todd out for a while but just lacks the balls to do it?
Maybe Sir David could pop by on Monday and help his son out doing the dirty??

Sacking some one whilst not a nice thing to do, it sometimes needs doing. I'd sack him as to not do could mean the worst. Plus no need to pay him up front put him on gardening leave i.e. pay him his wage every month for doing nothing. For god sake thats the situation right now pay but no work that we can see.:p

Todd isn't going anywhere.
We aren't anywhere near the kind of position that would get Rhodes to actually sack him. We'd have to be in the bottom 3 for an extended period of time with zero prospect of getting out of it for that to happen, and even then I wouldn't bet money on it.
There is no guarantee whatsoever that anyone coming in could do a substantially better job with the same squad. The likelihood is that we still wouldn't get promotion, so unless we were actually going to go down there is no financial point to replacing Todd and having to spend money we haven't got to do so.
Whilst I'm sure Rhodes would like to see us get promoted, and he made the right noises, he hasn't backed those noises up by releasing extra funds. That being the case he has no concrete basis to expect anything more than treading water in this league.
I don't blame Rhodes for that at all. He's thrown enough money away keeping us afloat and I don't for a second expect him to throw any further money in to the pot that can't be provided from ongoing finances. Fact of the matter is that we are now a League 1 club and unless we get extremely lucky that's where we'll be for the foreseeable future, regardless of who is at the management helm.
We will finish the season between 8th and 12th. This current run of losses is a blip, just as the 5 matches with wins and draws prior to it was a blip in the other direction.

I see the logic behind your post. However if that is the scenario and JR just wants Bradford to be a League 1 club, with no hope or amibtion unless we get lucky, then I'm sure many City fans are going to ask "What's the point?"

The point is that we still exist. The point is that there is a team at Valley Parade playing in claret and amber to spend your Saturdays cheering on.
If you're a proper fan, that's all you need. Anything more than that is bonus.
We have no god given right to be any higher in the football pyramid than we currently are. If anything, our sojourn in the higher leagues over the last few years is the blip, not our current position.
I'm all for thinking positive and trying to achieve better, but for it to happen someone actually has to take positive concrete steps to make it happen. That's not what Rhodes is about, and I don't see any prospect of that changing anytime soon. Again, I don't blame him. Him and his family have thrown more money away in our direction than anyone in living memory, and it's totally unjustified to expect him to squander any more.
Sometimes, things are just the way things are. We tend to live in a blame culture, but sometimes noone is to blame. Sometimes, **** just happens, to coin a phrase.
The Japanese have a phrase - 'Shoganai'. It means 'it can't be helped', and it applies to things like tidal waves and earthquakes which are beyond control. Well, as far as I'm concerned the fate of the club is shoganai.

Baldy your points are,we should be grateful that we still have a club and that treading water should be excepted as the norm.
I how ever believe if JR grows some balls, sacks Todd and appoints a manager with passion, tactical nouse and down right determination, then i forsee a challenge for the play offs.
We have a team capable of doing this under the right stewardship and its wether JR has the balls to go forward.
As you are aware i backed Rotherham at the start of the season to finish above us -10 points if Todd was to remain in charge.I didnt make this bet as a foolish gamble,i made it because i know what Todd is all about.

Come on Baldy, that's a pathetic attitude to take, perhaps you have the same mindset as JR & the Stealing committee ffs?tdwn: ....were now a bigger club than our history post WWII suggests, bigger stadia, bigger fan base ect....GR showed that a little investment, hard work, believe & passion are all that's needed to take this club up the leagues again & we now know its not now merely a dream but achievable;) ...I can't believe that you can put such a negative spin on the situation, lets hope JR doesn't think the same or we all might as well stay at home every Saturday & keep our hard earned in our pockets & let the club die!

I'm not being particularly negative, and anyboy who knows me personally will tell you that I look to improve anything that I get involved with.
However, there's a difference between being positive and looking for pie in the sky. The reality of the situation is that Julian Rhodes is in charge of the club, and however positive or negative I am about things it will make little difference - what counts is how positive or negative he is.
I'm not going to slag Julian Rhodes off. In many ways he is as big a friend as this club has ever had, but he is not the man to take us forward and whilst he is at the helm treading water is as much as it is reasonable to expect.
There is such a thing as cause and effect. Newton's third law of motion is that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Thing is, you don't get the effect or the reaction without first having the cause or action. With Rhodes in place that isn't going to happen.
Bring in GR or his modern day equivalent to make the actions happen and I'll start to expect some progress. But that isn't what Rhodes is about, and ultimately it's Chairmen that drive Clubs, not managers.
The fish stinks from the head down.

I agree with almost every word in that post Baldy, but that shouldn't stop us, the fans/lifeblood of this club demanding better than League One mediocrity ffs!...tdwn: this club is now big enough to sustain at least Championship football, we have to get out of the little club/ lucky to have a club syndrome that were been force fed at the moment!....unfortunately some fans are happy to eat at the table of mediocrity, the boardroom seem content to dine beside them!
