Does anyone else think Richard Edghill is a shadow of the player he was last year? I'm not attacking him because after having been out for 6 months with his injury he will take time to get back but he looks to have lost a bit of pace and more worrying he seems a bit cautious going in to tackles. Am i being over critical or does anyone else agree?

Why was he taken off on Saturday? Was it poor showing? Precaustion? Injury? Todd madness?

He got injured after about 20 minutes but tried to play on for another 8 before going off. Todd then moved a Centre back to his position rather than the Left Back we had already on the field playing in centre midfield!!!!!

I agree he is not the player he was last year, this happened to Kearney after injury, he was a poor player when he came back, maybe a confidence thing.......................

Jantje - I seemed to be as baffled as you. Others around me in the BB thought plaing Parker at CM was ok...........

Edghill can play either full back postion
Doyle can play the defensive midfield roll

So saturdays positional choice was baffling
The substitution absolutley ******* Baffling

ok, edghill got injured and as you say still played on until Todd(out) decided to chance it by bring on a centre half, no disrespect to Ainge who did ok, but moving bower to LB when parker was still in CM looking lost was madness

Move parker to LB, possibly colbeck on, JJ upfront then lardass in midfield

Then taking EJ of for colbeck, why not holmes(who was poor) totally lost the plot

Back to question though. Edghill looked slow probably needs games under his belt, but he is probably back to square one with his latest set back
