Not being a techo-just thought I'd mention that since you tinkered with the site a couple of nights ago, it takes ages for some pages to open.I'm on highspeed broadband and it's only just started to happen. Not consistent either. cheers.

This one ED for example----------- When I just logged on tonight,it took about 15 seconds for this page to open up. The green bars at the bottom stuck on 7 bars for several seconds. Cheers.

goto start -> run -> type in cmd
then type: tracert www.claretandbanter.co.uk (http://www.claretandbanter.co.uk)
and paste the results.

Change your security settings to recognise this site exclusively to avoid the log in problems. Internet tools - it's in there somewhere where you can specify sites that your pc will allow cookies etc for all the time.

Since I tried to log on tonight it's took me about 10 minutes to see a pager message I was sent at 5pm and another 15 minutes to look at 2 threads.
I have also had the message that the site is currently too busy try again later.
This site is currently slower than David Wetherall turning with the ball.

Guess i'm lucky it's fast for me :D
I'll look at the server node, nothing has really changed that much other than it's on an isolated node.

I'm seeing everything ok, but it's definitely slower than previous. Not ridiculously so, but enough to be noticeable.

I've done some more tweaking during the early hours whilst you all slept, let me know if they have made any difference.

To be fair to Ed this is the first major problem I have known since joining this board.
