Was ChuckleBantam still am ChuckleBantam. I have an alias or two on the Gent site but that's only cos I get bored easily on there.

I occasionally Posted as Dr_Frasier_Crane on the Leeds Rivals board becasue you need a shrink to be a Leeds Fan. And I post as Tampax_String on Down at the Mac because like a Tampax String I found myself hanging around ****s when I was on there.

Real name Jonathan.

Was originally called mirfield on OMB because I lived there.

Then I changed it to BaselBantam erm... because I live there.

I lived in Cleckheaton and Birstall in between, but I was never BirstallBantam or CleckheatonBantam (I have some pride :)).

Hey Ed, where did my post go from this thread, same place as my user name???

Rick

Max your username is valid.

Type it in as maxicool (case sensitive) and you can log on.
Make sure you type your password correctly though as that is also case sensitive.

Max,

It's quite obvious from the post you made your going to try and stir things here. If you don't like this place then don't visit, You don't like the City Gent Board don't visit, You don't like the Offical Board dont visit. You like all three then great, come join the fun.

But don't come here starting sly little digs, And as you put it - I'm not going to "orgasm" about having power. The users around here have the power and i'll listen to them just like i'd listen to you.

The post was moved to an un-approved posting because I didn't see it, When I was made aware of it I knew instantly what you were trying todo and it won't work Max.

I won't bite and give you the satisfaction of a ban so you can say "told you so" to everyone. Your welcome to be a member of this community just like any other City fan.

Your not banned and I'll prove it to anyone who doesn't believe me that the banlist is empty.

he's deleting mine too, so you're not alone

he's serious about keeping this board happy, and i'll respect that...even though my post was aimed at olive-branching, not stirring.

dig over, ed. :P

(this is a light-hearted post...but delete, if you think it's too strong)

Hey guys and gals,

I'm Ricc (funnily enough!) Err..from Shipley, 20.. followed City since i was about 6 when my dad first took me along to Valley Parade for an FA Cup tie against Chester City.

I'm quite glad I've found a City forum with lots of users, as I haven't been along to see a match in quite a long while as I no longer have any like minded friends to go with (:(), they're all rugby league fans, or simply don't support City.

I also follow Bulls and go to as many games as is possible... but City was always my first love, and I very much look forward to getting back to VP and cheering on my boys!

Anyway, enough of that... I'll mosey on off and take a look around the rest of this here forum.

Hello Ricc. There's just one thing I don't understand mate. Why can't you go to games on your own? Being a City fan from where I came from was as rare as rocking horse droppings, and from the age of 13 onwards I travelled many a mile on the bus on my own to watch City. I know no two people are the same, but it just seems a bit strange to me.

If you are desperate and need some company I'm sure the Shipley Bantams will make you more than welcome. It has a solid membership, good base (The George at Idle), and has coach travel to all away games. Just give the bald bloke with the Burberry cap and spectacles a wide berth. If you're not on your guard he'll have you trussed up and performing in home made 'specialist' movies before you can say Ron Jeremy.

Well I'll Intro myself - the name's Mark and I reside In a nice village Just outside Cleckers .
I don't post that many messages and am quite new to this fans forum Idea - I visit the official site and the Real Ale site Infrequently as I don't get much time to sit In front of my pc ( ahem - nose growing longer ).
Been a City fan since the age of 15 and the short lived days of John Napier back In Oct 1978 - first match seen was a 2-1 home win over York , and went In the Bradford End with a few mates from school ( the only City fans at ours unfortunately) - been hooked ever since .
My experiences of the beautifuil game started at the tender age of 4 watching Didcot Town ( we lived down there then ) and on moving north at the age of 9 we tended to go from club to club In the area Just watching footie - I never cared much for L666s even though we used to go watch them In the Revie era as family from darn sarf used to think they were worth wasting money on - they were an awesome team to be honest but the fans were a set of ***** !
Now go to matches with my son of 9 and occasionally the females In our household tag along to see what all the fuss Is about.
For away travel I can reccomend the Shipley Bantams Travel Club , great company , great days out and always set off early so we can take refreshments at some decent place pre match .
Join the BCISC as well to help support the club , I'm one of the founders of the Kirklees branch - next meeting on 22nd June If an old club legend can make It .

I did indeed watch the song contest. I was willing the Jewish entry on to victory assisted by Sister Stella and Sister Atois. Afterwards we played hunt the Bagel in the Kibutz.

Zonnebloem, Tournesol, Sunflower, it's all the same thing but in different languages.

I've lived 28 years in England, 22 years in Belgium and several months in France.

But I still like watching the City.

BTW I had aliases on the old OMB, mainly just to see how many simultaneous aliases you could have on a supposedly single identity board. I was Tournesol 99.9% of the time, Silent Monkey (brilliant anagram of Milton Keynes the week before we were due to play them) and Garnaal, Dutch word for shrimp. I also invented Sangeeta when some joker invented Gupta Singh, mentioning his wife Sangeeta. Sangeeta threatened to bash him on head with kitchen utensils because he was playing on infernal Internet.
