Look past the win on Saturday and you will see a team who never looked like scoring before the freekick that led to the goal.

Player kicking the ball long at every oppourtunity and a serious lack of ideas.

Once we got the goal we looked OK and created a few decent chances but we were woeful up to the goal and Chesterfield were clearly the better side.

Still points are point however you get them.

I think the article speaks for itself MB...

I doubt JR would let him get away with those comments re finances if they were not true...

I also reckon people have wanted the truth to come out from the club for a while yet when it does it gets ripped to shreads for being an excuse...

No win situation...

Paints a bleak picture for me does that article....tdwn:

Np douting the financial side of the artical is correct -- but the choice of players bought in on loan and the way the team plays is mostly down to the manager -- No good saying that the loanees arnt fit and to take them on loan for a month -- get them fit and send them back -- whats that all about?

Yeah but the chances of getting someone in on loan who is first team match fit is slim to none...

Hence why they are being farmed out on loan...

In the main i reckon it is via the word of the loaning manager that Todd has to take a player on..

The ones he has brought in have in the main being top draw compared to what we already have...

Thems the breaks in getting better players in at a club in our position IMHO...

Aye some of them have been very good but taking them for a month and then loosing them is bad management -- Healy has gone back fitter and not given much value too the club -- Black is fitter now and maybe on his way back after his month -- as said on another thread -- give some of the youngsters a go -- the crowd will back their efforts as they learn the job -- look ar Ainge, did well but when will he next get a look in -- JoCo was getting there but writen off and I am sure hi confidence was taken away by management -- Bentham now back from injury and does well -- when next will he be used? -- I know they have to work their way in to the team, but bringing in unfit month long lonees must really put these youngsters down -- and on the financial side -- we are already paying these guys--

How about bringing in a manager on a months loan? -- theres an idea!

They won't though will they mate..

If Todd puts in the Young uns and they play **** he is done for ....And so are they...Fans would rip em to pieces you know that and so do i..

Stability first mate and that means getting the best players in...

If you look at what's happened to those released only Lewis has done well in holding down a first team place in a league above... Not forgetting he was slated for long periods of time during his left back days here...

Symes struggles to hold a place down at Shrewsbury,
Sanasy???
Wright??? Halifax in bradford has been side
Kearney?? Halifax in bradford has been side
Forrest?? Halifax in bradford has been side "the great hope"

Fact is not many of the young uns have ever been good enough and that is the real bottom line...

These young players get thrown in too quick when they are not ready ... At a club in our position with fans like ours a run of games for these too early would destroy em...

Of all the young uns i would only change the right back slot as anyone is worth a punt ahead of the misfiring Edghill..

Apart from that who would you dump and replace current members with???

Honest question.... Dont forget to state who would be on the bench once these loan players had made way....

"Apart from that who would you dump and replace current members with???"

I wouldn't dump any of the 1st teamers but I think the youngsters would turn up and put more than 100% plus lots of passion and effort for a couple of matches whilst someone was banned or injured (short term) they could do a job for us, and then they will slowly make the 1st team squad -- if they arnt up to it a/ why are we keeping then and B/ why pay them evry week?

If Todd got the push tomorrow, anybody thinking that the new manager would come in and put the kids straight in needs their head looking at. If Todd was playing the kids and getting the same results, some of you would be whinging that he's thrown them in at the deep end.

How the feck can you criticise Todd for something you object to but not expect any potential successor to do the same? I can't work out wether you're being hypocritical or just plain dim.

Right take a deep breath tony....

I know some things are hard for you Adie... But out of the 22 games Shrewsbury have played how many has he been first choice...

You know a starting striker?????

Well out of those 22 games he has been involved in 9 and of those 6 as sub..

That to me isn't holding down a first team slot..Even with injuries to one side..Now granted he has scored 6 goals in those 9 but hopefully you get my point... Although i can look up a MENCAP i mean MENSA guy for you to translate it to your superior level of thought...

What do you reckon Einstein????

For at least 10 of those games he was with us kicking his feet in the treatment room and the odd reserve game.

The Shrewsbury fans love him and want him in the first team.
