I don't get it. He's never been in Todd's good books, was offered out for trials a month or so ago. His reserve team reports are not all that wonderful.
Yet here he is getting 10 mins at home to Donny.
When we have Ainge, O'Brien, Colbeck who have done far more to earn a place in the squad yet are invisible?
Well done Swifty, not knocking him down at all, hope he gets and takes his chance.
However I just don't see the logic? Why give him a chance now of all times?
Let's hope he doesn't do too well though as that would be the end of him tup:

I was thinking perhaps CT knows something we don't about the Derby boys?
Holmes has dissapeared and even if it is through injury, do we really want to have a kid on loan who has missed half the season through injury?
And if Doyle is on the verge of a recall to Derby then maybe Todd needs to get Swift in gently into the team?
2 plus 2 = 4 or 5 ??

Derby have half a squad on loan i think at the moment..Holmes maybe getting sold if rumours are to be believed...If that is true Doyle you would think must be in with a shot of the same thing as he is a vastly superior player...
Shame we do not have the cash to sort out deals for Doyle and Parker...
But thems the breaks....
The young uns got the same shot last year after out shot seemingly had gone at the playoffs maybe it is about to happen again..

He's been best by far. A real find.

Swift only played today because Doyle got crocked. He was just in as cover, as Edghill has yet another injury.

Doyle's injury is a godsend for Junior. He can claim the injury was the reason for sending him back as opposed to the fact there is no money for wages again.

Where has it said that the loans are going back?, don't remember seeing that anywhere?
Swift was playing because Edghill was ill. Although i don't think hes good enough personally he hasn't let the team down, yet another case of Todd only using the kids as a last resort.

JS it hasn't been said but we all know they are only here til January and so far we haven't seen anything to say they have extended the loan spells. Seeing as we are ...er...4 days from January I guess we haven't tied up any extensions yet!
Dutch, let's not knock the inclusion of Swift, it's about time. Why does it take half a season to see the likes of Ainge, Bentham and Swift involved? Perhaps Todd has been told there is no money and we can't extend the loans so he will have to play the kids.
