From the fans of Cheltenham Town and i applaud such a generous sentiment and this renews my lost belief in human kindness and humanity.
It would be nice to have some City fans there to join them and show our appreciation.

Very nice gesture. Football fans get some bad press but this just goes to show how nice people can be.

That is so good to read -- such a nice thought --
And it is all the better as it is something they have no need to do -- respect to those supporters

A great appreciation & respect to the Cheltenham fans who organised & donated towards the floral tributetup:
This Is just what was needed, a bit of warmth & goodwill in times when being a City fan were used to been treated like trash:(
Lets hope the clubs Gestapo dont forcibly remove the fans from the fire memorial eh?....H & S and all that!tdwn:

Wouldn't surprise me if the Club charged The Cheltenham fans ground rent for the Wreath and for tickets to watch them lay it at the Memorial and I say that without my tounge in my cheektdwn: .
Great gesture by their fans though, sounds like Cheltenham have a cracking set of supporterstup:

Right if you go back on their mb you will see that the user named "shevates" has left a thread telling the fans to meet at the memorial at the Sunwin Stand. I am awaiting an email or telephone call from them.
At least we now know its not the one down in town.

Right, I have had an email from Cheltenham, whilst I was out shopping.
I have also had a telephone call from the gent in question.
His name on their mb is shevates - his real name is Steve and he is a retired Firefighter, the Club told me it was all his idea to do this.
He and a couple of friends are driving up and will call me when they are around 40 miles away, we will then have a better idea of time, although he hopes to be at the memorial for around 2.20pm.
Hope to see as many of you there as can make it.

It is a lovely gesture - but it happens quite often TBH - i can think of half a dozen sets of oppo fans who've done it - the most spectacular being the Rangers fans.....
How come people are meeting the Cheltenham fans? Why not let them do their own gesture in their own way?....
If it were me organising it i'd be a bit embarrassed that it was kinda being hijacked when it was meant to be a small - nice gesture by a few opposition fans!!
Not having a go or owt - just saying what i reckon!!....

I think they were wanting to meet City fans KB, going by what i read about it on their website -

Fair enough - i just noticed that on Panthers email (which is on their messageboard) that it said "we didn't want this to go un-noticed" - i just wondered whether their intention was to want it to go relatevely un-noticed.....
Obviously to some its a private thing and to others it aint!!!....

I won't be there as it's not my sort of thing - I don't mind having a chat with oppo fans in a boozer or at grounds, it can attract the hanger ons - chav types with nowt better to do - then I'm a cynical git at times.

Well just to be on the safe side, when I spoke to him a few minutes ago, I did say we didnt want to hijack it for them and his reply was that we had all been fantastic and they couldnt wait to meet us.
