Having booked 3 corporate days and a box at City this year, my company today booked a corporate table at Sunderland -v- Preston.

The service was first class. You get parking, stadium tour, champagne reception, meal + sandwiches post match, Man of the match etc. It was a level above City's - My experience booking the box is not worth going into.

The bit that impressed me most was after the game Niall Quinn, now Sunderland Chairman came into the banqueting area and thanked all the companies and sponors for their support.

An easy gesture to do, but greatly appreciated. This creates goodwill and in turn is likely to result in repeat business.

I can say that in all my time at over a dozen events at City, I've never seen an appearance by Rhodes.

His attitude typifies the ambivalence that eminates from the board.

Even though I have a season ticket I just can't be bothered watching City any more.

BTW - Rhodes rebuffed a multi million takeover last month - allegedly.

Gordon Gibb used to do exactly the same thing at VP.....when we'd lost 4-0 to Sunderland he actually bought everyone in the banqueting lounge a drink to apologise for the performance too.....

I know who i'd rather have had as chairman....

I wouldn't go that far, Junior outsmarted him when he stuck the club in admin. And being outsmarted by Junior is akin to being outsmarted by a bag of Cat Litter!

Perhaps you should put a message on the omb abut this. I'm sure it would improve our matchday corporate experience.

Pretty basic stuff really-well said Orm.H.P. Do the little things right and the big things will follow.Feel appreciated and you will repeat the dose---- and the money keeps flowing. All the complaints on the poor service at fan level and corporate level at Valley Parade this season illustrate that poor business acumen and experience in looking after and attracting customers is sadly lacking. Cheers.
