Let's just hope we don't drop down divisions else it may all be in vain.

Am trying to get an update on where it is at. It was 6,006 towards end of last week. T&A ought to have a pledgeometer, it'd help give an at-a-glance and might get some interest.

A bit like this:

Trouble is SFB the so called footballers seem intent on carrying out what Mr Todd started - poor performances on the pitch. We have had to endure some rubbish since the prem - dished up at home - this has driven a significant number of fans away. Until fans see comittment from players and are provided with entertainment there will be only a few extra who will be attracted. Though some might accept Megson WBA type performances at home - wins at the cost of entertaining. Having thought about it so would I at the moment.

Catch 22 briggus. If we were playing great football at the mo and were closer to the play-offs than the relegation zone then do you think this pledge offer would have been put forward? At the moment a pledge is a bit of a gamble that we stay up and then you might just get decent value for money on your £6 a game ticket. it's whether people have the inclination to effectively invest £138 into hopefully seeing an improvement in on the pitch matters next season.

I think the standard of football reflected in the results we have been having - and the fact that we are in the relegation zone will mean people will wait tosee what happens - although that said - I ALSO think that we are not too likely to get much closer to the 10,000 until a management team is announced.

Will people put their money where their mouth is if next season we are playing the likes of Rochdale, etc?

No I don't so, only the real hardcore and mugs like me will be going.

No - im actually looking forward to dropping down and maybe having to start from fresh - IF we can get a team together and play well in the 4th Division - it may do us good to win some games and get promoted and get the feelgood factor back at City....

Daft but think about it - we have had 5 seasons of dire football - NO WONDER the support is dwindling.

So strictly speaking on that basis we have done remarkably well to get past 6,000 pledges all considering?

It may sound like i'm knocking the scheme - but it does cry of too little too late - its still 4,000 short though mark - where are these 4,000 supporters coming from

If we go down and survive next season then I'd imagine a few people will just do the away games and not bother with a ST. That's what I'll be doing, I can't stomach another year of crap football in a 25k seater with 4k crowds and zero atmosphere.

Unless we start winning again in which case I'll be back on the bandwagon as quick as poss. :)

I don't know, Ernie. Perhaps it was over-ambitious but it was worthy of a try. Events have conspired against it or you could say it was poorly planned, but some have tried to get it to work and it might still be reconsidered in the context of 6,000 is better than 3,500 especially if you then consider that kids can be added on to the figure and there must be other ways of drumming up support a la 6-game tickets or buy one get one free schemes.

BUT - and everywhere you turn there are BIG Butt's as far a city are concerned recently.....IF we get relegated - which is a distinct possability right now the CLUB are going to HAVE to reduce gate admission prices anyway

THERE is NO WAY the bradford PUBLIC are going to pay £20 to watch 4th Division football - its hard enough getting them to pay it for this level - never mind another drop.

I have however said that next season I will renew my ST - irrelevant to what division we are in - My anti todd stance is now at an end......

What about targetting some Bradford firms to pledge for a ST or two - they could then send a member(s) of their workforce/staff to games as a reward.
MMMMMM on reflection they could use it to punish them.......

I think actually that is one of the things the CLub has been doing. Our lass works for Persimmon Homes and the City marketing manager has been badgering them to death with telephone calls about advertising, sponsorship etc.

The T&A have gone down this angle as well.

Someone on the OMB mentioned that they had been approached but when they asked what the money was for they didn't comeback with any answers.

I also know someone who wanted to advertise his firm in the Programme and on matchdays, he said all they were intrested in was getting the money and little else so he didn't bother.

in fairness - i asked about sponsorship - and advertising in the programme - but it is extreamly expensive to do - in comparison with the local press - which has a far bigger readership.
