It has emerged today that troubled West Yorkshire side, Bradford City, have approached the former Bradford City and Leeds United defender, Robert Molenaar as the man to take over the reins at Valley Parade.

Molenaar, 38, is thought to be an outside runner to take the job, though sources at the Intersonic Stadium think this deal could be closer than anticipated.

A club insider commented '' Molenaar has had several meetings with the club chairman, Julian Rhodes, and has made it clear he is very interested in the position ''.

Despite having no previous managerial experience, Molenaar was a firm favourite amongst City supporters during his time at the club, having arrived for £500,000 in December 2002.

I hope so, they were apparently what made him the fine player he was.

Incidentally - The above post comes from a very reliable source of mine. Just trying to get the link to the story! Seems like a good chance this could actually happen.

Opinions?
