Very dissapointing -- but is Wethers getting there?
Maybe parker back to defence and an attacking left wing back
It will be a reeeeet struggle -- but I am still hopefull
Come on CITYYYYYYYYY

Try Xavier Barrau...
He looks ace in the reserves..fair enough its alot easier but he got 2 minutes today and his only touch was giving it back to Ricketts...
Parker back in defence...Barrau on the left
MBW was shite aswell, try penford for him if he is fully fit.

Very dissapointing -- but is Wethers getting there? No, he shows no sign of being a manager, just the average overpaid player he has been all season! How Simon Ainge must be thinking he is cursed having been dropped for the old timer:confused: A sub would of been nice today after watching Colbeck, BMW, Schuey and Ashikodi do **** all for 75 minutes - but no, lets try defend a 1-1 draw and when Northampton score i'll stick myself upfront because i have no faith in the attacking players i have on the bench - afterall im the best attacking CB thats ever played!! tdwn:
Maybe parker back to defence and an attacking left wing back - Parker did ok today, along wiyh Kelly & Paynter one of the three who really could walk away having done well - shame their all loanees!!tdwn:

Come on CITYYYYYYYYY - Me too but we need a manager quick!!

So you dont reckon Wethers as a manager Beer -- So he's another manager you dont like -- As Tonyd says on another thread -- even Todd got a longer chance then Wethers -- If only JR would sit down and have a chat with a few city fans, he would soon know how to run this football club -- he would be able to start by signing up a manager who would turn the club round in no time and he would learn from them just what is needed to run a sucessfull club -- with no money he could soon be in the black -- why wont the lad learn eh!

Spot on!! He had the right idea when he said we need a long term manager, however it was plain to see that Todd wasnt the man - if he'd had a clue he would have shown it when the drunk was in charge but he didnt and that was proved in less than half a season!!
Wethers is the same - Todderised through and through and has shown no signs to me that i'm wrong!!
Btw, if you think im against all managers your totally wrong - Law , Robson & Todd have all been utter wasters, sussed early by myself (to much abuse on websites)and every time i have been proven right!
Jefferies (who i liked)wasnt given time (imo) and would have seen us settle in the Championship given time and has proven since to be top drawer in the Jock(****) league!!
As for Wethers - as iv said is the easy option given the fact that he earns more than twice everyone else in the squad!!tdwn:

Apart from Paynter, parker , Youga and Ashikodi & Ricketts to an extent, the effort was abysmal, the paasing diabolical& the tactical nous non existent. Why bring Barrau on forwith 1.44 on the clock after having him warm up for half an hour.
I'm with Beer on this, Wethers leaves a lot to be desired. I love the man for his service to City but this looks beyond him.
How can the same team that beat an in form Bristol side look so inept against a Northampton team who frankly looked complete garbage?

But ain't that City all over?
There were only two players that came out with any credit today, and that was Yougha, and Paynter.
Honourable mentions to Parker and Bentham.
I also think it's about time either MBW, or Schumacher was dropped, what has happened to Penford, is he being kept out of the team because he can pass?
It's damned annoying to see such a great result in mid-week wasted like this, and,yet again we are not in the face of the opposition from the kick-off, just like Rotherham, and Huddersfield.

I thought Ashikodi worked hard but never got decent service because MBW & Schuey couldn't manage to pass the ball all afternoon.
Bowers passing was just as bad & Colbeck is never where he should be on the pitch. You could see Ashikodi & Paynter telling him to get wide & stay wide but he just wanders.
Bentham was overrun in MF because the gruesome twosome were never in the game at all today.
Someone please explain the logic of having subs warm up for half an hour then bringing one on with 1.44 on the clock because its baffled me.

Its inept & pathetic is what it is!!!!
I still can't believe how bad the team were, they should have been brimming with confidence after the Bristol win.

Ididnt go nor did i listen to the Bristol game - was it a fluke?? I'v seen nothing since Todds departure to suggest any change of play - we are still shite! The only good i see is the extra £20 in my wifes Race for Life fund which will come from Tony D after our bottom 8 finish which the Turd so kindly set us up for!!tdwn:

I didn't say he had a good game, i said he tried hard but didn't get any decent service. He looked as if he was working trying to make things happen.
Only Youga, parker & Paynter had semi decent games imo.

Jefferies (who i liked)wasnt given time (imo) and would have seen us settle in the Championship given time and has proven since to be top drawer in the Jock(****) league!!
The first part gives you your own answer...You are doing the same to Wethers that everyone in your opinion did to JJ...
But the shite you in the orange is as laughable as Peter Kaye the first time i saw him ffs..
He is a mid to lower half of the table manager in a piss poor jock Mcplop league which has Gordon Strachan performing better than anyother manager before him in that piss arse League...
We haven't had a decent manager as such since PJ took us up.
That in itself is funny as we have not had a winning side since then either..
Or any cash since not long after he left. Which then led to bringing in lower end players, these players couldn't perform so we sacked the manager , we employed poorer managers as we had less cash and they bought or loaned pooer players who were expected to do wonders but couldn't so guess what????
Yep we did poorly, the manager gets the boot and the vicious circle continues...
What the fook you actually expect during our continual slide i do not know but if you have followed City for long enough this is what we do...Eventually the man you expect not to do anything with a group of players who look poor will have a blinding season and we will achieve promotion...
That is the life of Bradford City throughout it's history..
I am a realist and know this is our level...Anytime we get out of these slumps is to be enjoyed but in the back of your mind i always expect to be back here sooner rather than later..
Too many people think we are a big sleeping giant who belong at the top of the Championship or in the Prem...

Tony,we the fans expect grit and determination not wasters who dont give a ****..........I thought thats what you would expect from your fellow work mates, but hey ho matey when it suits eh?
We went 1-0 up and sat back and invited them on to us with wave after wave of attack, yet our player manager never rallied his TROOPS and was quiet as a mouse ffs.

Jimmy, you have me wrong as per usual...
I know what i should expect from City but i also after watching em for around 30 years know what they produce 90% of the time as does every other City fan ffs...
My work and my expectaions of those i work with have no bearing on City as last time i checked i didn't manage or have any influence on the team...
If you want to turn this into something it isn't fine crack on...
But what i wrote stands and is pretty much what has happened through out most (not all) season i have watched City in these Leagues...
Memoriesof most are tainted by the odd game which involved us beating a higher placed team or where a promotion winning effort was witnessed..
I do not need reminding of what "the fans expect" ...
All fans expect that level of commitment which is why the bigger teams sack early due to fan pressure when all it needs is a bit of patience to turn things around......
You can preach about the rights of City fans all you want Jimbo and in the main i would agree but that isn't what i wrote about is it....

Typically it was a Gretna loanee who scored the winner - a team from the lower leagues with cheap signings potential that I was banging on about earlier in the week. Wethers has said that he is looking for some more signings before the deadline - so perhaps its a midfielder he is looking for? With no competition for places, MBW and Shuey don't really have to keep on top form - just like Ward several seasons ago.
Have to admit that Wethers isnt doing it for me, and he seems scared to try and introduce his own ideas - rather than Todds - when on the pitch. Can you imagine what Johnson was thinking when he saw Wethers move himself to centre forward? Its hardly morale boosting stuff for the lad is it? (reminds me a bit of Brian Glovers performance in Kes!).
Just hope that we can turn it around...as its looking a bit desperate now.
