clone of sven has done it again:jd: , drops best player for blue eye boro boy Stewart (head less chicken) downing.prayer: prayer: prayer:

Steve McClaren is reportedly planning to drop Owen Hargreaves to the bench for England's Euro 2008 qualifier against Andorra in Barcleona.

McClaren has apparently opted to not only stick with the misfiring Frank Lampard but to reunite him with Steven Gerrard in the centre of midfield in the hope that they will finally gel against the minnows.

Hargreaves is therefore set to drop to the bench despite being one of England's better performers against Israel on Saturday night, just six weeks after McClaren described him as "indispensable".

Stewart Downing looks likely to be handed the left-wing berth, with Aaron Lennon switching to his more natural right side.

There will also be changes at full-back, with Ashley Cole and Micah Richards expected to come in for Jamie Carragher and Phil Neville, while Jermain Defoe is expected to replace Andy Johnson alongside Wayne Rooney.

Does that mean Hargreaves will play or will McClaren tinker with Dyer or Parker?

So beating Andorra without Lampard will show what exactly?????

Struggling without him will show the same thing too fook all...

Liked the misfiring Lampard thing earlier though.... as opposed to the midfield scoring dynamo sensation Gerard at the moment...fpsfl..

I cannot wait for the threads to come as we put a few past a side that could be beaten by a non league team...

This probably is good news as the entertainment either way for me will be immense...

How fooking blinkered some people are is amazing...

I'm hoping for a hatrick from Gerard now...Just because that stat should fetch out some pure belters from certain folk on here...

If he doesn't score and plays shite whilst others perform what then???

Bring on the game ......:jerry: :jerry: :jerry: :jerry: :chick:

Andy Johnson first goal and England to win 4-1! I reckon Bookies would give about 25/1 on that if AJ is 3/1 and 4-1 is 14/1.

I'd be tempted to back Andorra to score at 3/1. tup:

TOTE offer 30/1

I'd be tempted to back Andorra to score at 3/1. tup:

Then again, tote only offered me 22/1 on my gerrard bets compared to Ladbrokes generous 33/1

Ladbrokes are obviously going longer on Gerrard first goal.

I tend to work to the old ways of working out odds from my days with Stanleys and then briefly Ladbrokes. I almost new the first goalscorer.correct score charts off by heart (sad I know, I'll get my coat!).

Might see if I can call in the turf accountants on the way homeward. tup:

Yes, but not enough to go back to the garbage wages they paid shop managers.

Give me the money to set myself up and I would!

Yes folks, just got in to work (after collecting my winnings):D

Didnt watch the game, listened on the five live, at 2-0 o was happy either way, both bets 33/1, the last ten minutes I was like a cat on a hot tin roof, when the third went I suddenley realised, we get four. Phew.................I think also had 1000 points in the Virtual bookie as well

nice pick up there mate - i had half time draw, full time england but no where near the magical 'double-carpet' odds you speak of. portugal let me down in a four fold acca, as they say there's always one team that lets you down!

Something I have never mastered is the football accumilator, does not stop me trying though

Once did the ladbrokes millionaire coupon, the first one let me downtdwn: then the next 11 came in, the game that let me down was Moo utd drawing with exeter in the FA cup a few years back at old trafford. How gutted was I, at the point of getting 10 results right I was up for nearly £2kjawdrop:

that puts my four fold into perspective... that's very unlucky mate. i've been trying 4 draws for years, never even close!!! closest i've come to a £2k payout was last years cheltenham festival - me and a mate did the placepot and just needed the fav to place in last race, and it came last! wouldn't mind but it was over a grand payout and it was the last of my 3 picks that failed, my mate hid it but i think he was fuming at me!
