Heard something along those lines on real radio, Ritchie distancing himself from the job
I will be a bit miffed if it is parkinson, thats the type of manager we could do with:(

By the tone of that link, the dog-bothering terriers seem rather pissed off.
Phil: "I'll take it"
Phil: " Yes I'll definitely take it"
Phil: "Announce it on Wednesday, I'll be there at 9:30"
Phil: "April Fool!!!"
Good April Fool Phil!!!! Absolute classic!!!

Thats why they included the "we interviewed a number of high quality candidates - all of whom could do the job, it was very close etc etc blah blah blah"
Damage limitation for when they have to go and ask nicely the 2nd person on the list....
In depressing times with City - that statement has made me laugh!!....

Money talks eh?
Shows me a lack of ambition by Mr Parkinson, maybe the TBs are better off without him?...which is a shame really :D

Ritchie set to join Huddersfield
http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/42340000/jpg/_42340710_ritchie_closeup_getty203.jpg Ritchie is expected to be unveiled as Huddersfield's new manager
Andy Ritchie has agreed to become the new Huddersfield manager, according to the Yorkshire Post.
He has managerial experience with Oldham and Barnsley but was sacked as boss at Oakwell in November six months after he guided them to promotion. Ritchie takes over from Gerry Murphy who has been in temporary charge since Peter Jackson's dismissal in March. Charlton coach Phil Parkinson was set to be unveiled last week, but he had an 11th-hour change of mind.

B World said that he was at their game on Sat -- he walked past the chairman and neither acknowledged the other! -- good start there then

Still know confirmation from the gayfarm.......................
If i was them, I would strap ritchie to a chair before he changes his mind, then wheel him out for the press conference blind folded and gagged.
Wouldn't want him changing his mind, would we:cool:

Andy Ritchie has been named as the new manager of Coca-Cola League One side Huddersfield.
Ritchie, who was sacked by Barnsley last November, takes over from Peter Jackson who was dismissed in March after a poor run of results.
The former Manchester United and Oldham striker takes charge with the Terriers currently 16th in the division, eight points clear of the relegation zone with four games remaining.
Former Hull boss Phil Parkinson was expected to take charge at the Galpharm Stadium last week but had an 11th-hour change of heart.
