I thought I might aswell see the game which sees us relegated and no doubt sees Chesterfield relegated too.

Boy Saltergate is going to be a happy place at 5pm Saturday.

Chesterfield better have some decent boozers because the game is a bit of an after thought at the moment.

I will be there.... along with the rest of the rabble...

we usually meet in the club attached to the bottom end of the ground... just in case you cant find a pub... lol

Sounds like it's going to be a bit busy anyway, bought 4 tickets last week relatively easily then went again on Friday to get another one for my other mate and found I could only get one per season ticket holder.

Probably changed after Saturday's result anyway.

Where to drink?

The Barley Mow in Saltergate is worth a visit as they have scantily clad barmaids (complete with blue & white CCFC mini skirts) serving the beer. For once it was a pleasure to wait at the bar to be served! Tricia Hastings recommends the Market Tavern in the town centre, which apparently is a good real ale outlet. Derek Hall a visiting Hartlepool United fan adds; 'Another cracking pub for away fans, is the appropriately named Chesterfield Arms. Coming out of the away end, it is a right turn, then turn first left. No more than a five minute walk away. It also next door to a pub called The Industry, which is also popular with away fans'.

I elected to work on Saturday instead, well until 2pm - this then ensures i have the following weekend off and can go to VP to remember those lost in 1985 - I can't see us ecaping relegation this time.
