yes folks, on sunday 6th May there will be a "friendly" match between the Stewards and staff of Bradford City, and the West Yorkshire Police Force at the delightful Intersonic stadium. I believe entry is £5, with all proceeds going to the burns unit. Not sure if theres going to be a race night after as well to raise further funds but it would be appreciated if people could come down and support a worthy cause.

Plus you can get your own back on your "favourite" steward or police officer who take such great care of you throughout the season!

Think we got a mention on the pulse, gonna try get bit of a campaign in the week leading up to it, people may forget or make other plans other wise. Its definately sunday 6th may though and Bulls are in cardiff and not kicking off till 6 i think so that shouldn't distract any1. Going to call the telegraph and get summat in there definately, and probably pulse as well.

If either of these groups of 'community' people had an ounce of regard for the supporters of Bradford City they would have shown it before now. Jumping on the bandwagon springs to mind. They have had all this season and a few seasons before to show some respect for those who turn up at VP and of course to those that can't.
Why start now?

Grima
24th April 2007, 01:52 PM
when start then? surely nows better than never? Wouldn't be allowed to use the pitch pre season or during, and people wouldnt turn up to a school or park to watch would they?

I would imagine stewards who are not playing? Dont think will be major really, its a charity game after all.

What do you all think about it then? Only had a couple of positive replies so far, anyone else thinking about coming down?

Unless there is a change this week (which I will inform people of here) the match is due to kick off at Valley Parade at 11 A.M. on Sunday 6th May. Entry for adults is £5, Not sure how much the donation is for children and concessions, all money raised is going to the Burns unit. Hope to see a lot of people there who ever they choose to "support".

Cheers
