Do all the people who campaigned for Todd to be sacked still feel it was justified? Any1 think City would have stayed up if Todd stayed?

Todd should have been sacked last year. Sacking at the back end of January was one mighty cock up. Who the feck could make that work. OOPS JR thought he could.

Todd should have gone last close season or the end of this season.
The Todd out grumbling and his five year contract pushed Junior into a decision that was more in keeping with covering his own hide. The timing of the decision was a disaster and the appointment of Wetherall a catastrophe. The buck has to stop with the person who made these decisions. On the back of considering us safe enough to make do without our 20 Goal a season striker all this was a recipe for disaster. But are any of us surprised??

Nothing is definite and it's all ifs and maybes, but I think Todd would have had a better chance of keeping us up, at least partly based on the fact that he has done so in the past.
However, losing Windass, Johnson and Doyle at Christmas was a huge blow, and put any manager in to a very difficult situation.
We will probably end up going down by a couple of points - one draw turned in to a win might well have made the difference. It's going to have been a near miss.
One of the difficulties for Wetherall is that for the first few matches he didn't play himself - I can understand that decision, but it took another senior player out of the team when we had just lost the 3 previously named. Todd wouldn't have dropped Wetherall for those matches if he'd still been here, and just that factor might have been enough to get those 2 points.
I said at the time that Todd should have been given till the end of the season, and I still feel that would have been the right decision.

I was agreeing with the Widearse bit but having never even met your lass I'd say yes, she could have kept us up if she could pick Windyass.

definitly right to go. the way he responded to sacking proves it. thankfully his sacking ended the legacy of what was the worst appointment ever, robbo and todd.

But his public persona and lack of acknowledgement of fans concerns didn't help him. This relates to both Todd and JR

Turd should never have got the job - so of course he had to go!

The fans all got on JR's back to sack todd, and he did. Getting rid of the players when he did though was awful leadership. Todd was crap, useless tactically and couldn't entertain any crowd, however I reckon he would have ground out enough results to keep city up this season.

He was sacked too late - should never have started the season.
He was void of ideas, motivation and command of his dressing room.
Junior is the only person who can be held responsiable for the stance we are presently in ....he removed every speck of chance we had of staying up at Christmas - when we where safe - ffs!!!!

Agree he should have gone last summer, but i feel he would have kept us up.
Yes it would have been bad as, crappy defensive footy, with a negative aproach to tactics and some crazy substitutions (or lack of them - although that hasn't changed)but at last we would have definitely been playing L1 football next season.
