It will be interesting to see how much it dies down on this site when we secure safety in L1 with 2 great wins over Chesterfield & Milwall, then Rhodes announces McCall in as manager and the £138 season ticket deal to go ahead??

He'd even have a begrudging respect from me if that happened. But none of it will.

Tbh Chuckle, this thread wasnt aimed at you, you have had your opinion formed on Rhodes for a long time and i respect that!
The sudden surge of anger aimed at Rhodes is from a lot of people who's eyes have only just opened to the real threat of relegation - the same folk who were happy under Todd until the damage was already done!
Burrying ones head in the sand untill the **** flies back off the fan and covers your arse is what too many City fans do - and it pisses me off!!
Rhodes is just the easy target at the moment and its a time when people should be getting behind the team!

I've been a season ticket holder for over 30 years and seen all sorts of **** going down at VP. For all the good times i've witnessed , the bad ones outweigh them more than 2 to 1.
I reckon i've earned the right to give whatever opinion i want , whenever i want and if it changes from day to day thats my right.
It doesn't stop me wanting the best for the club and i've backed JR all along until i've finally been worn down by the whole package of his stewardship.
I never liked Todd but i backed him until this season also when for the first time in nearly 15 years i wasn't bothered whether i went to a game or not.

The club isn't run in the best fashion, theres no denying that at all. But the resources clearly aren't available to put people in places to make this club stable again so it's a catch 22 situation.
People think i'm off the opinion the sun shines out of Julians backside, But i'm not i'm just giving my support to the one person who has tried whether he's been a success or not is a different matter but he's tried and sadly he's got a few members of staff that are complacent in there jobs so dont go that extra mile....

That's his problem tho Ed the Duck... he has no business acumen and should have sacked the dross ages ago.

Do you bark at the moon too?....:D
I admire yours and others optimism on here mate but i think your all barking if you think were staying up!! I'll be chuffed to fook if i end up eating my words, but i don't think i will be!!
Your setting yourself up for a big dissapointment being so optimistic - from my point of view if we end up loosing tomorrow it'll be totally expected, if we end up staying up i'll be over the moon - no loose situation for us pessimistic, miserable fookers!!!...;)

Bugger all to do with the cost, it's the principle. I'm not being conned again.
I've thrown over £2k away on a 25 year ticket, and I put £500 in to the hat when the appeal was on - the day after they shafted us further on the 25 year tickets.
When it is apparent we will start next season I will go and buy the ticket.

I won't pledge, I'll just offer em the 138 quid the day before the season starts and They'll snap my hands off. If not, I'll just tell them they must have lost my pledge and I'll demand to have my ticket at the same price as everyone else.
However, I don't actually believe there will be any 138 quid tickets anyway, something will scupper the offer at the eleventh hour and then the sob story about how it will ensure the club's survival if those who pledged still paid the full price.

You'll notice the original posts were made before Mark Lawn came in and made the deals happen. Unless you think Junior would have managed them all on his own? And I must have slept through the bit where we secured League One Safety???

Don't care what you say Chucks, I am sat here pretty happy in the knowledge that I was well aware before Lawn toddled in that Rhodes was doing the cheap season ticket deal and McCall was already secured as next manager (not that he was tapped up or anything!). McCall also said it himself at the Fans Forum if you don't believe a word I say. Credit where it's due.

I can understand your grumble, but £6 a game isnt that bad for a game of football.
I think some of the performances by some away teams have been a pleasure to watch ie Acc Stanleyjawdrop:

no i dont trust them in charge,i work a lot of saturdays and it bores me senseless if they play well and play with guts (not necessarily winning) i dont mind paying £20 but we have been dogshite this season. And there would be no point in trying to sell it cos if the sell 9000 adult tickets they will give 9000 away who is left to buy one game by game??

Its not only us who have suffered terrible home form in League 2 this season, over 40% of games across the division have ended in an away win!
Hopefully Macca will make VP into a fortress next season? ;)

And thats why bullying is rife in halifax schools....Ive followed them like many from when were in the old 4th but never in the 25 years that i can remember have i seen such shite that ive seen in the last 2 seasons its been disgusting the whole club is a complete train wreck. Im praying that we turn a corner but i dont trust useless Rhodes and Fat Geoff the II to provide stuart with any sort of funds. Look at MK Dons and Peterborough spent money on good young players and they are pissing this division but most of all they are entertaing. We havent seen entertainment or guts in a long time:confused:

To be fair to McCall he has not taken the Todd safety first approach for home matches - maybe that has cost us points - hopefully with a stronger squad next season we can be up there in the top 3 - looking at the competition we will have I see no reason why not.
