With us bringin in Taylor from Middlesbrough, looks like this lads chances int first team this season are all but gone, barring injuries.

Seems a shame as sounds like he's another good young player coming through our ranks at moment.

IMO we have a stronger backup of youth players in the defence ie Swift, Richardson and Denton, ihave more than likley missed some out as well.

Todd has already praised all of these players and said they have a big part to play in citys future, perhaps that is why the only defenders he has signed are on year long deals (ie as a short term option until these players are ready).
