Makes a change from the digs usually associated with departing players - he confirms McCalls appointment too!!
Pity he never kicked on from that 1st season - he was excellent.....very much like Kearney, one great season in midfield - then injury and never the same!!

I think we may miss him more than we expect to and will realise what he did more now hes gone.

I'm surprised hes got rid of MBW as i think he would find a role for him and i'm also surprised about XB and thought hed be given a year.

Wonder how much wethers was involved as i think stu respects his judgement.

Maybe the wages they were on could be better spent elsewhere.

Despite Schuey trying his hardest to impersonate the invisible man this season theres no doubt he's a genuine lad tup:

He sent his dad out at Tranmere and told him to give his spare tickets to some decent looking City fans (Non Chavs)....unfortunately he ended up giving them to Beerbantam and Co. roflmao:

Seriously though, i wish him the best for the future tup:

Aye indeed he didtup: Fair play to the old fella as he battled through the hoards of burberry clad tossers to give his tickets to us!!

Good look to Schuey though - effort always outweighed his ability!!

it will be a kick up the ass for the lad but he'll hbounce back maybe stronger for it and relfect on how shat he was last season despite 7 goals - he was not alone though as cream tart mbw was as big a culprit.
Tranmere and Port Vale for these 2?

I agree with you regarding Schuey. I know he was rubbish this season, but under the right management he might do better. Todd demotivated the whole team, so if someone (ie McCall) with a bit of passion came in, Schuey might have got his spark back. To be fair, he wasn't much (if any) worse than anyone else.
I'm also surprised about XB. He only played one full first team game, and its not much to base him on. However, from what I've heard he's been good in the reserves and could probably have done well in League 2.
Having said all this, its good that Edghill has gone, and maybe this sets in motion a decent clear out so that players who don't perform next year know that there could be consequences.

it's a new chapter in city's history now and i'm sure stu will want to put his own mark on the midfield. he's a decent player who we may miss but it's time for change.

Edghill was rubbish because he was always on edge and any slip up was pounced on and he always got flack.

The fans seem to hate him because he wasn't as good as Nathan Doyle. He had a couple of good games towards the end of the season IMO.

I think he'll be a newer and much better player for another league 2 team next season and will be a good assett for them.

He needs a new start where he wont be on edge so much and will have the pressure of his shoulders.

I think all four will bounce back and i wish them all the best.

I thought edgehill was 2nd mom against orient but he was poor every other time i saw him

Schumacher was a good player for us, but I agree with most opinions that the midfield at City has gone stale and it was time for a change. Im not too happy about the people on the t & a website having a go at him though.

He was a good servant for us and when/if he returns as an opposition player, he should get a warm response

Good luck to them all -- I feel sorry for XB, not much more he could have done = 1 game, 5 mins as a sub and 2 goals!!! -- still I suppose a new manager wants to find his own team -- he stands or falls by their performances on the field

I'm glad Edghills gone. Worst right back at City since the last one ;-)

I would like to have seen Schuie under McCall, I think he would have developed in to a quality box to box midfielder.

Bridgey didn't seem too bothered about Citys plight and I would like to have seen more of XB before deciding on giving him a contract.

You have to think why they havent been offered contracts when we have so few players.I think that macca already knows he has the money and already has a few players ready to sign up,im getting fooking excited now jump: jump:

I hope the players all find other clubs, however I'm pleased they haven't been awarded new contracts at City, I don't belive any of them could form part of a squad to mount a serious automatic promotion challenge. It's difficult to judge Barrau on a game that had a pre-season friendly to it, though he did show a good attitude and was trying for a contract. If he hasn't a club come pre-season training there's nothing to stop Stu inviting him back for a trial.

Good point. That way we won't have to pay his wages over the summer either.
