175g Plain flour, 50g Cocoa powder, heaped teaspoon baking powder, heaped teaspoon bicarbonate of soda. Sieve each one into a bowl.
Add 2 eggs, 75g Caster sugar, 2 tablespoons of Black treacle, 150mm of vegetable oil, 150mm of milk. Whisk forever and a day!
Pour into 2x8’/20cm sandwich cake tins lined with greaseproof paper lightly greased with butter & lightly floured.
Bake for 20-25mins @180 degrees. Leave for 10 minutes before turning out.
Put 175g of plain/milk chocolate into a bowl and melt in/over a pan of warm water. When melted add 30ml of Double cream & mix. Add 25g of butter and mix. After cooling to room temperature spread onto cake.
Whisk 150mm of Whipped cream (not too thick) and spread on top of the chocolate. Place the other cake on top and that’s it, job’s a goodun!
To finish slice into pieces and stuff yer fat greedy face. Cream and chocolate sauce is optional.
