i won't bet on city, biggest kiss of death though the odds are generous (mainly to do with the uncertainty over squad). one of my mates however who i used to work with, followed 2 bets religiously (amongst the other 1000s he did) - backing fred couples in every golf tournament and always backing L**ds to get relegated (he finally got a second big pick up after all the seasons of ridicule from the l**ds supporters in the tote!)

No, but they know we have secured McCall as manager and there are rumours of investment meaning we are likely to have some funds available to build a stronger squad.

Makes bookie sense to me.

Aye, I suppose the investment rumour would alter the odds a little, I think it was still 14/1 with McCall confirmed though! I got my money on at 14/1 though so I'm happy (or at least I will be at the end of next season ;) )
