Probably the Merseyside derby at Goodison 92/93. My dad had a close business contact who was a shareholder at Goodison so we got invited along. The atmosphere was incredible, the Liverpool fans were all over the place and wearing their colours and singing etc in the home ends, but it was just accepted. Everton won 2-1, their first derby victory in about 5 years, Mo Johnstone and Beardsley scored for Everton and Mark Wright for Liverpool. The whole place went absolutely nuts when Beardsley scored the winner, it was unbelievable. The game was a Monday night sky game complete with the sky wrestlers, dancing girls and fireworks at full time.

Man United v Barcelona 1999 - 3-3 - group game in champions league.

Also same season FA Cup 4th round 2-1 v Liverpool. 1-0 down with 5 mins to go. Cole and Ole Gunner with the goals to make the scousers cry.

Both great games for atmosphere as well.

DF's mum lives around the corner from my nan just outside Liverpool and sometimes drops in for a cup of tea. I think that makes me famous so there.:p

I went to see England v N Ireland at Old Trafford a couple of years ago. 4-0 to England and a great atmosphere all day and night with the Irish fans who never stopped singing!

first - middlesboro v liverpool in silver candy strip era (i'm rubbish with dates) went witha mate from primary school as his aunty worked behind the scenes at ayrsome park. we got to meet all the teams in the longe after match - all the greats like dalglish, barnes, mcmahon etc etc! still have the signed programme.

second - york v halifax. more for the ridiculous goings on. graham mitchell started on shippo the lion in the second half something to do with him retaining the ball for too long. there a few things more funny or weird than a grown up bloke who is a pro footy player taking on a man dressed up as a fat lion. in the same game i'm pretty sure shippo got bollocked by officials too as he rode onto the pitch on a bike, what an entrance! this is while the game was on. ok he went round the touchline but the officials went mad. it was an eventful day for shippo, somethings got to liven up the crescent anyway! reminds me oif when billy bantam beat shippo in that pen shoot out and ran all the length of the pitch to klinsmann dive at our end! classic boxing day fare!

Can't remember the score but each team ended with about 9 men each...
