I posted this a while ago but it's only this weekend I'm going up to Zonnebeke near Ieper to see a bit of WW 1 re-enactment that I will go look at the museum.

Jimmy Speirs arrives in the Memorial Museum (20/02/2007)
This week James Hamilton 'Jimmy' Speirs arrived at the Memorial Museum.
Jimmy Speirs was killed in action in August 1917 near Dochy Farm. He was a
famous Scottish international footballer. He played for Bradford City,
where he scored the winning goal for the team during the finals of the FA
Cup in 1911.
A life-sized figure of Jimmy, a framed photo of the team and some smaller
objects were given on loan by Bantamspast.co.uk (Bradford City Football
Museum) and Andrew Pickles to the Memorial Museum to be featured during
our exhibitions from July to November this year in Zonnebeke and
Passendale.
