ok, it's only been a couple of friendly's, but who out of the trialists would you keep and who would you show the door? Here's my opinion,

Darren Williams - Keep, experienced and calm
Thomas Harban - Get rid
Kris Gate - Keep, youngster with potential
Kyle Nix - Keep, provides good balance
Scott Phelan - Keep, not first teamer, but potential
Paul Evans - Get rid, poor passer, and slow
Simon Johnson - Get rid, just not good enough
Peter Leven - Keep, a good option
Nathan Joynes - Get rid, symes-esque, not good enough

And to Parrot on his comment on Paul Evans being the best player on the park 2nd half for City vs Farsley - most things you get right, but you must have been getting him mixed up with someone else!!! He was shocking!

Darren Williams - Keep, experienced and calm
Thomas Harban - not seen enough
Kris Gate - Keep, youngster with potential
Kyle Nix - Keep, provides good balance, but needs to get ball in sooner
Scott Phelan - Keep, not first teamer, but potential
Paul Evans - Keep for experience
Simon Johnson - Get rid, just not good enough
Peter Leven - Keep, a good option
Nathan Joynes - Keep for squad, season long loan, see potential. I thought we got rid of Symes too quickly

Maybe I had the barmaids tits on my mind??? love:

I thought Evans was the only player to stand out in the middle of the park in the 2nd half, ok he wasn't great but i noticed he was there which i couldn't say about some of the other players!

I agree with the rest of your assesment apart from Joynes who i thought would make a good squad players IMO ;)

We should know come Sunday. McCall putting a bit of pressure on Colbeck, sounds like he wants us to have byline wingers a la Lawrence and Beagrie! tup:

we can't tell from a couple of friendlies - Stu and Jakes will have seen their overall attitude - I'd like to see Matt Clarke come out of the sidelines at this level and put real pressure on Wetherall and Bower.

Or Simon Ainge? I know we can't tell from a few games but I think they will have an idea of who is putting it in more.

Penford was better than Evans on Wed, simple passes, ball on floor and wants to play football, set Joynes through with a nice through pass aswell.

do we think that the fact Kris Gate only got 45 minutes to 'build up fitness' means that he's about to be shown the door?

Also interesting that Heck hasn't played since Monday, and neither Evans or Johnson played today.

I suppose Stu might have made up his mind either way. I think I'd be surprised if Williams got the nod over Gate. I wonder whether he's injured?

The Sunday People this morning says Macca has decided not to offer Simon Johnson a contract and he's off to Hereford................no great loss to my mind

Its looking to me like Phelan, Evans, Nix, Williams could get contracts along with a season long loan for Joynes
