Apparently we'll be recieving £68,987 of the £11.2M that's going to be given to teams from the Championship, League 1 and League 2.
It's also supposed to be given to us to encourage investment in 'youth development'

So the stroger teams get a bigger share - typical - surely it shoulb be spread more evenly - with clubs at the lower level being encouraged to develop youth / youngsters more - rather than employing journey men.

if the league wanted a more level playing field the share should be turned on its arse with the millions being sent to the bottom division(would say that even if we werent there) but can u imagine bates with all that money for scum??? fook me:rolleyes:

Im just happy that we'll get some money. But like you said Dave, I doubt JR will bother pumping any of it into our youth set up, far bigger priorities to deal with first.

Part of the deal is that the money has to be proved and accounted for into youth development

That wont do much for youth development you need a couple of million to make an impact and that would take a few years to show

oh your all too synical for my liking.....
ALL monies have been put into the pot to gain interest so that when we are at the door of the playoffs come the 2008 window we will have substancial funds to push onwards for promotion.
ANYONE expecting automatic promotion with what we presently have - "enthusiasm" will fall short of their desire - It said so im my fortune cookie from the Chinky I had on Saturday night. and before Prawnie says owt - his name was NOT Wan king.

that does make sense. Because players brought in at that point in the season can bed in and be already part of a team before the next year gets under way thereby allowing the team to start to gel together before pre season 08/09.
I just want an end to speculation and start to see some football!
