Following Medleys cracking introduction, anyone recall any other debuts of note?
Seem to remember Phil Babb scoring with his first touch
Sean McCarthy scored, missed a penalty, hit the post and got sent off if I remember.

A mighty Jaunjo header after coming on as a sub ( the only time I have backed a player to score last, and it came in 12/1)
Etherington with a header as well after joining on loan from spurs

Dean Richards scored on his debut against Bournemouth away a few years ago.
I also remember a certain Bobby Campbell scoring on his debut at home to Peterborough.
Neither of the above were as spectacular as Medleys on Saturday though.

don't suppose Luke's would knock Sean McCarthy's off the top according to BfB's reckoning...

I seem to think that Andy Thomas and David Campbell both scored on their debuts at Brighton in a 3-1 win on the first day of the 88/89 season. Can anyone remember?

Didn't Andy O'Brien score on his debut?
Last minute winner against Oxford.
Not 100% sure if this was his debut or not?

Yeah i remember the Cambridge game, we lost 2-1 to a really sh*te goal in injury time which was neither a cross nor shot but still went in. The only other time i've been there we lost 4-1 when Lenny Lawrence was manager. Its a bloody miserable place.

Remember a lot of those - and Bobby Campbell - we never thought he would go on and become the all time leading scorer when he made his debut!
McCarthy's debut was eventful and we lost 2-1 aye.
Medleys is up there with any of them for me.

I am gutted i missed Medleys goal. I was walking on the front in temperatures of about 28C at Ventnor on the Isle of Wight with the wife and kids when my dad text 'Medley 2-1 screamer'. I spoke to him after the game and he was raving about it, still got a suprise at how great it was when i saw it on Sky Sports, superb goal.

He'd never missed one in his proffessional career until he joined City.
Took him about an hour to change that in the mighty Claret and Amber stripes though

Cambridge 4-1, I was there that day, 3 hours drinking in the bar adjoining the ground, spent two hours slating Liburd off to the home fans who for some reason rated him.............The rest is history......and I managed to see the goaltup:
