I like Bartona s a footballer, he's very underated and is more than capable of getting in the squad and on his form last season deserving of a place in the squad, on football merits far more than some of the overweight overated crap that think a place in the England midfield is theirs by right. As a human being he's a tosser out of the top drawer and clearly not a full shilling. It's not fair to call him a big time Charlie though. Especially as he has famously and hysterically taken the real Big Fat Time Charlie in the Squad, for being just that.

Bartons comments are an indicator that he's genuinley not bothered about playing for his country, which is ****ing stupid, so he doesn't deserve to be picked or that he's another player distancing himself from the McClaughable era, which I can't blame him for to be honest.

Stevie G and Barry should be the first choice pairing now and if Barton doesn't fancy his chances of being one of the few to seriously challenge for that, then that's up to him. It's ****ing stupid, but then again time and again his behaviour has indicated, he's just that.
