Yes you scored the winning goal but i had the match of my life that game and did things i never thought i could do, and i have the passion and love playing.

Amazing that time you brought a keeper down and lied to me and said that there weren't enough outfield players when really you brought a ringer who was decent but in all seriousness was just as good as me.........

At the end of the day i play because i love playing, i get really gutted when we lose and this season you cannot fault my effort, passion and commitment and at times (when it matters) i have pulled everything out to help the team.

Adie, ffs, nobody is questioning your commitment or your talent, you have had a great season imo. Your effort and passion are there for everybody to see but the fact is you said you weren't sure you could make it so what is JP supposed to do?

I only come to watch and live 5 minutes away but several times i've gone 5 miles out of my way to give you a lift home and Superfat lives even further away but we haven't moaned once. Just think about what your saying before blurting out a sob story. What if your meeting had run over and you couldn't make it? What is the team supposed to do then?

In the last game of the season, C&B's hastily put together side managed a 7-7 draw with a great comeback after being 1-6 down at half-time. Without proud new dad JD, Paul, JJ, Dave and Adie the lads without a substitute to use battled well to get a decent draw. Scorers were Geordie John 3, JPH 2, The Mighty Boosh 1 & Rambo 1. Well done lads, a storming second half.

Most of us are nearer to 30 than 25! IE, in our prime. ;). In the division we're in now, if you can play even a bit you'd be ok! What time do you play Monday? I'm there 730-830, maybe I've seen you around. sherlock:

The team had no reason to distrust me after commiting myself at the beginning of this season and all the way through i have let them know in advance if i couldnt play so why couldnt they trust me and wait a few hours for me to find out what the crack was? Times vary as we are in a league. Last week we kicked off at 8.30. Next Monday it's 9.15. We got into the top league after a few games had already gone. There were only places in the top league left.
The first 2 weeks we played against asian lads that were built like racing snakes. They kicked our butts...................our shins, our ankles and any other part they could. Quite an eye opener. They were decent players aswell!

I used to be a decent player, but need a bit of time and fitness to get back into it. Getting air into the lungs is the biggest problem after not doing much for a few years.
Hopefully over the next few weeks the lungs will work better. The trouble with being 37 is you still think you can do it, even when your body is telling you no.
Still, I'm enjoying it. That's the main thing. ;)

Btw, do you play on Monday's? We have some earlier kick-offs coming up in a couple of weeks.

Soz. Unfortunately I never expected that this was going on as I hadn't logged on until after the game and never saw this til too late. As I don't have your number and JD was on maternity duty as far as I was aware then I texted the one player I assumed would be playing to tell him I couldn't make it and could he let you know. Didn't know Gaz was playing otherwise I would have texted him, but hey-ho assuming the keeper is going to play was a big mistake to make eh?

Do I need to get a dummy to spit out for when I'm dropped for the first game next season?:D :rolleyes:
