It always make me smile to see Ipswich miss out on promotion, the reason being is out game with them in 1988 where if we won we would be promoted automatically but if we lost we would have to suffer the lottery of the play-offs.

So I could afford to smile last night as Zamora put the game beyond doubt with his second goal. So it will be the unfancied Preston or Derby to face West Ham in the play-off final, there seems to be a amazing simularity forming here to when we got promoted.

Paul Jewells team secures promotion on the last day scoring 3 goals.
Sunderland go up as champions,
Ipswich get finish 3rd and lose in the play-off semi final.
So whats the betting the unfancied side (Preston) wins the play-offs just like in our promotion winning season (Watford).
So put your money on Preston being the team to be promoted as it seems lightening does strike twice!

I'd like to see West Ham back in the premier league, it's were a club like that belongs. The Championship isn't were you expect to see crowds of 33,000+ even for games that mean nothing.

I'd like to see Derby knocked out next, I can't stand them.

I was watching the game last night with a West Ham fan, which made it all the more satisfying when they won. I'd like to see PNE dump Derby out, but then West Ham to win the final.
