I donated Fifty quid in the summer of 2004 and feel so conned by the behavior of all the personalities involved with the BCFC board of directors since that day that I will not put another single halfpenny into any appeal these twats make, ever again. The reason; I think they are all dishonest, simple as.
If someone wanted funds to mount a take over and rid the club of the **** that is responsible for the mess it is in and the aforementioned dishonesty, then I'd happily contribute to that.

WERE JUST NOT ATTRACTIVE AS A CLUB
The city is a fooking dump, 75% of the fans are total tool's who are ready to accept the way the club is run just cos the 2 titties are city fans, and the council dont care cos we dont play with an egg shaped ball
I aint giving them any more of my money to piss away i have more important things to spend my money on now.In total i donated £500 which for me was a lot of money last time,£200 i paid to watch the allstars match and i thought id sit in the empty box seats only to be asked to move i told them i just paid £200 ill sit where i want they told me id be ejected if i didnt move...............great way to treat the fans........

If thats your stance on the matter then fair enough, but i'd see it as the lesser of two evils and hopefully by keeping the club solvent it would make sure we've still got a club by the time someone comes along with an ounce of business sense ;)

The biggest obstacle to anymore incoming "investment" must be the ownership of the ground - I'm sure a lot of people out there take notice of the crowds we can attract and also the mega millions being pumped into the area.
It's too easy to take the critical approach.
There's definetly a better future out there for the club, but it depends if we can grasp what it will take.

How much do people think the club was worth in 2004? Just interested cos effectively the money the fans raised arguably could have been worth far more than the thing it saved.
Personally I don't want to wait for a white knight with "business sense", I'd rather use the skills embedded in the thousands of fans we have every Saturday. Even a small percentage of them will demonstrate a damned sight more "business sense" than has been seen at Valley Parade lately. No takeover as such and no financial investment. You all know my view, bring the fans on Board in a democratic and accountable way.
To answer the original question, yes of course I would. It is MY Club after all and its heart beats with mine. City will never die whilst the fans want it to survive.
The alternative of a new Club would only come into play if there was no real and viable way forward for the Club in its current format.

When you look around the leagues at some of the dodgy characters buying into clubs, I think we are better off with what have. As for running the club by a committee of fans, like communism, a nice idea but it would never work well.

If I won £100m on the Euro Lottery, I would buy ML and JR out - give Stu and Jakes a target to aim for and a decent budget, and expect a minimum of 15,000 season tickets to be sold at a slightly higher price than we have this last summer.
I'd call the odds and no fan would sit on the board with me, only an appointed Chief Exec and Co.Secretary/Director.
VP would be bought back from Gibb as well.

well said bantamboy, i dont see why everyone is always so pesimistic. Everyone seems to feel like they are owed something, we are owed ****. If you dont like the club dont support them, nobody forces you to. it makes me laugh how Mccall always says the fans have been fantastic....its a lie, every home match the away fans are louder than us, only the carlsberg stand sings together properly, before kick off when the squadlist is read out, the away fans cheer every1 of their players, none of our fans seem to give a ****, most of them seem to be more bothered talking about rugby or the premiership 12.15 kick off than cheering our players. who gives a **** who is playing in the premier league, it doesnt concern us, we dont support them, we are city til we die and we should be shouting and cheering for that full 90 minutes.
We do have some excellent fans who sing their hearts out, and it is not those that im talking about, its the ones who are quiet for 70 minutes and then just shout **** like 'daley your useless' or 'Johnson you shitbag' or '****in do sumthin Colbeck!' etc etc. If you dont have anything constructive to say, dont say it. At the moment we are stuck in a rut, if you tell players they are ****, they will play ****, and they wont want 2 play for us.
We have the biggest attendance in our league by a country mile, and wwe do not use it to our advantage, i bet there are plenty more grounds in this division who have 5000 fans that are louder and more supportive than our 12000. to me, every saturday should be a party atmosphere and cheering our team on, because we are all there for the same reason!

If people want to support a club that doesnt need help, go support man utd. The truth is we support a league 2 side, and 7-8000 of the fans that turn up wouldnt be there if the season ticket prices wernt so low.....not real fans. Id turn up if we were a bunch of shitbags who had to play on a muddy field in the middle of no where, but thats just me. Football is about passion, some people dont have it.

They play for wages, not for the fans not for the shirt. Bower is a Bradford lad so maybe he has more attachment to City.

Bradford fans expect the world, and why?........because we had 2 seasons in the premier league nearly a bloody decade ago! its in the past, we aint going back
so CTID86 - what are you really saying here  You would only give a donation to city (the club you say TID), the club you say everyone should get behind !! because you wouldnt want to own it as it is a **** job !!!
But yet on the other hand you would be happy putting the rest of your winnings into a club from over the border.... because its from a nice city with nice fans !!! does football work like that  or am I missing somethingtdwn:
