Your point T&A = Local news
My point BBC = World news

Erm... you seem to miss my point completely. As soon as it appears in the T&A, the BBC rip the story and put it on their site. The only way to prevent the bbc from picking this story up is by not telling anyone.

Why even make it public in the T&A? The club wont gain anything from making it public. They have nothing to gain but plenty to lose.

Mark Lawn:-
"But it's not dead in the water - we might get Willy back in January on a long-term loan deal."
Rough translation:-
"It is dead in the water"

Because people moan the club doesn't keep them informed of what's going on.
In saying that, people will still moan so the club won't gain anything from being open about what's going on.

Was just about to say that! On another thread the openness of the clubs finances is under question!

Yet another balls-up by City, others cubs would hve had the deal sown up weeks ago.
If there isn't serious transfer action in January , this club is f**ked for the future as no amount of BS will persuade fans to buy ST's again

Don't we have some exclusivity with him for the time being? Hence why Stu didn't play him in the reserves?

I am lead to believe trialists may only take part in 2 games so thus the reason stuart didnt play him in certain games. May be totally wrong though:confused:

McCall wants the lad.
The board want to be taken seriously. They want some good PR to get things positive around the stadium again after the lack of big signings and poor start to the season.
Then chip in the extra few bob and get Willy on board. He's a player who may very well become a cult legend at the club. First money signing for 6 or 7 years. Chilean international.
Let's take a gamble on him and give the place a boost. 55k aint all that much of a gamble surely? Especially as if they are negotiating then they might have offered 25k. 30k gamble? Got to be worth it, it's not like we are signing David F***ing Hopkin for 3m or Stan Collywobbles for 2 million a week wages.
MUPPETS INDEED.

As anyone ever thought that Willy might be w4nk? :(
Pinning all our hopes on a untried Chilean kid is a bit desperate dont ya think?:sorry:
Although It didn't do the Geordies any harm when they got that Mexican kid over in that "Goal" film

I've seen him play twice Beaks and he showed more skill on the ball than the rest of our strikers put together. He was woefully unfit though
