I just do not know how Mark Lawn expects us to get excited about January 2008 when he already states we are going to get some exctiting NAMEs who have already been here on loan before.

Since day one we have been told that there will be money available to Macca to invest in a squad of his own making.

We are now told that the season has NOT been written off and that Macca will be bringing in MORE loans in January - as long as we get rid of the dead wood and make some financial space.

Must be nice knowing that the board consider you deadwood - its alright fans saying it - but when the board who pay your wages say so !!!

Well he may have cleared some of the debt - which makes us financially stable - but we need money to pay for commitment and CITY players to play for the club,

I think I would rather have Junior saying nowt than to have ML backtracking on everything we where promised in the close season.:flame:

I agree - the more i read of Lawn the more i dislike him, we need action - not talk from him. The whole Willy Topp episode has been his only football dealing and he's well & truly ****ed that one up!

After all is said and done it's still the 11 players on the pitch at any given time who decide whether we win or lose. Personally, I reckon we need to improve the fitness / stamina of our players - they always look way too tired by the end of matches.

In all fairness i would have him as a business brain, he had some good ideas so it seemed.

When?

All i'v seen is a publicity hungry idiot who's mouth operates long before his brain.

It will all end in tears with this fellow - he will leave us in the **** surrounded by the soon to be named 'Mahmoods Stadium' with a giant red burger in the top tier of the Kop & a massage parlour in the Sunwin Stand!

It's a pretty thankless task running a footie club - too early to come to any conclusion about the JR/ML association - other than it being 2 long term fans with a heavy financial commitment to the club.
We're always going to be up against it unless the club regains ownership of VP and that will take a few million.

It needs a PR expert to manage them both and they can't afford to recruit one.

Accept your point about it being a thankless task, Wisey, but he put himself in that position. He just needs to reign his gob in a bit and think before he blabs to the press. I just think he doesn't care what people think iof his comments, which might be good to a certain extent if his ideas and plans come off.
