Farsley Celtic boss Lee Sinnott, who has been linked with the vacant Port Vale job, says he has not resigned after the club said he had quit.
Farsley chairman Andrew Firbank said in the club had agreed a compensation package with League One side Port Vale for the 42-year-old Sinnott.
But Sinnott told BBC Leeds: "At no time have I either verbally or in writing tendered my resignation to Farsley.
"I'm flattered by the interest shown in myself by Port Vale," he added.
The Vale board have been reportedly split between appointing Sinnott or caretaker manager Dean Glover.
