"Any player complaining should come and do a 14-hour day in industrial Teesside. We're not asking them to go to Afghanistan or Iraq, we're asking them to play football."
Pretty much spot on...The quote above is only there as it made me laugh as we say that all the time when this subject is raised..
Get these fellas in working the same shifts as Doctors, nurses, coppers and the rest of us who work long hours...Then they will know what tired and worn down is...
3 games of football a week isnt hard...Yes it is physical but for the wages they pull in and the help they get to achieve and maintain their health and skill levels it is fook all in the grand scheme of things...
Strange how you never here the teams from the lower leagues cribbing about being too tired..
Stressed, depressed and worn out....Bollox...:(:ban:

If it's such a hard life lads pack it in and let someone else do it.
Anyone remember Darren Sherridan the brother of John ?
He worked on a building site before turning pro. When ashed what he thought about the training he said "That compared to slogging your guts out all day in a yard it was easy and a privilage to do it"
Honestly theses fookers make me sick
£100,000 a week a bit of training in the morning the chance to play in front of huge crowds and get paid over the top for it.

It does get in the way of the golf, celebrity functions and shopping though... you have to feel sorry for them.
