Former boss Paul Jewell says he would consider a return to Wigan but insists he has not been asked.
Jewell, who remains good friends with Latics chairman Dave Whelan, has been heavily linked with the job since Chris Hutchings was sacked on Monday.

Think it is a backward step for PJ going there....Unless Dave Whelen really opens the cheque book..
Im more than sure he will get them to safety but they are one of the ones who are always going to be a couple of results away from the bottom few unless they spend more...

Do they really have the support to warrent spending countless millions though? Im sure Whelan's pockets are deep but are they deep enough to get them to be a safe mid table/europe challenging team?
IMO they are like Fulham/Reading/Sunderland
They need to spend but they don't have the support IMO

Sunderland dont have the support?
Fanwise Sunderland are on a different planet from Wigan!
49,000 seater stadium, granted not always full when they arnt producing the goods but when they do they get great crowds and have one of the best away followings in the country.
