I'd rather watch Torquay Vrs Yeovil in the FA Cup game than the overpaid prima donas in the Portsmouth Vrs Man City Premier league match?tdwn:
Or have I already answered my own question?

Its been a great game and Torquay have some good players. The Torquay left back looks good and can deliver an excellent cross.

No, I've got Sky+ .... but i enjoyed watching two teams on TV having a full bloodied go at each instead of the usual Premier prima donas.

Why do footballers in the lower leagues not dive or cheat to win???
Same game same Prima donas just a better standard of footy in the top League...
Are you saying you would rather watch Torquay Vs whoever instead of a free flowing Arsenal or a free scoring Man Utd...
If so bad times for you P...
Man City game wasn't that bad to be fair... Im sure it was a better spectacle as a Nil Niller than the 3-1 you watched...Im on about skill and spectacle not the fact 4 goals went in...
Only thing i would give up watching most Prem games for is a City match...Lower League footy on telly has never interested me...Why would i want to watch that ****...
Bad enough watching City in the pits of footy but at least its my team playing shite not some poxy south coast drivel....
Thanks and good night....LOL:sorry:

Soz, I'm with Beaks on this. Sometimes the grass roots stuff is much more entertaining and proper football. You don't need the fancy skills to make it a good contest. I saw a cracking game this morning in Div 2 of the heavy woollen league, 6-4 with some real battles all over the pitch and no little skill either that wouldn't go amiss in the top flight (albeit in very brief patches).
Sometimes the skilful premiership can cancel itself out and provide a very mediocre show. At least you can recognise workrate and commitment in the Torquay - Yeovil game, something that is often missing in the City-Pompey type games. Still I'll reserve judgement until i see MotD tonight. No doubt they'll have a bagful of highlights on!

Maybe It was because it was a change to watch to lower league teams on TV go hammer and tongs at each other than the usual Premiership brat pack we watch every week?
Somehow the lower down you go the more honest the players appear to be, not in every case i know, but it made a welcome and refreshing change tup:

I know where Parrots coming from with this. I really enjoyed the Torquay - Yeovil game. Obviously the quality wasn't there but like he says, there was an honesty and spirit about it that seems to have gone from the top level.
I still love to watch the quality of Arsenal and even Man U etc but honestly, i'd rather watch a cup tie like yesterdays than Bolton v Boro (yawn)
