I know what you mean...although i want the Jocks to lose most games, the way they have gone about this qualifying campaign in such a hard group should be applauded IMO

How many Qualifying groups have we qualified before the last game in recent memory?....most have gone down to the last game or so, and as you rightly say, we've done better when we least expect too!

The thing is the Scottish team and the manager seem to go about their business well and it builds up a respect from me and surely most English fans...

I feel a bit sorry for Scotland as they came so close in a group many would have said they would finish 4th or 5th at best in. To beat France twice and not qualify is unlucky to say the least but perhaps if they had applied themselves more in games where they dropped points they'd have qualified. Didn't they lose to the 5th or 6th place team just days after beating France? That's the games you need the results in.

I agree with Parrot re England. You deserve to finish in the group where you finish. That's the whole point of a league. I agree we have struggled to qualify from one of the weaker groups and I'm not Mclarens biggest fan. But if we get a point on Wednesday and qualify, then we deserve it as we'll have been more consistent than Russia over the whole campaign. We could even finish top I think due to Croatia losing to Macedonia!

I'm shedding no tears for the Jocks. They wouldn't ahd it been us and indeed if it is on Wednesday. I think it's hysterical too that all Saturday afternoon the build ups were concentrating on the possibilty of the Jocks being there and us not and now they are crying into their Tenants Super again, whilst we have a better than probable chance of getting the little flags on our cars again next summer..

I'm not counting any chickens with regard to England on Wednesday. WhilstIagree with Parrot that should we get there, it was nowt to do with anything other than the fact we've accumulated more points than the teams below us, I am still horrified to see us go to the last game of the easiest qualifying group to ensure qualification. Forget about all this we aren't good enough bollocks. We have a set of players who are shoe ins to the last eight of the Euros and the World Cup's and just lack a bit of good fortune to get beyond. Ironically fortune has smiled upon us this weekend, but it shouldn't have had to. Even if we get the result on wednesday, we should get rid of the manager and put the squad in the hands of somebody capable of getting them to play like a team capable of winning a major championship. Qualify or not, McLaughable has been a ****ing joke and has been found out as inept, spineless and clueless/ If the bollockless suits of the FA wre going to get shot had we not qualified, it'll not cost em any more to do so to get shot if we do!

Now although wqe haven't played that well in this group if we beat Croatia 2-0 on Weds we will have won the group..

Hardly relying on others that is it...

At the end of this season will it mean if say Man Utd win the title by a point or too that they had to rely on other teams results over the season or will it mean they did enough on their own to become champions...
