From start to finish with McClaren stood with his umbrella on the touchline ffs, a complete shambles. Bridge, Carson, Gerrard , Lampard absolute garbage.
Only Crouch, Becks, & Richards showed any fight.

Now people realise that as a team we are sadly lacking and that goes from the Squad to the morons who gave him this job.
We have less than 3 tears to sort this mess out because if it is not sorted out now it never will be.

Why can't we just play the England way 4-4-2 instead of trying to adjust to the opposition.
Can you imagine the Italians or Germans changing the whole system ? It never happens

Carson for me had a bit of a shocker in the first half, well more than a shocker! but he made a few decent saves. Tonight was not the right night for this player to be made number 1 - if you werent 100% behind Robinson as a manager you'd have to pick David James - Mclaren got it wrong!
Frank Lampard, apart from the penalty I counted his name being mentioned about 5 times. He made the midfield so un-balanced. He should of gone off and put beckham in the middle and let him play as a playmaker. Gerrard should of been allowed to support Crouch who was immense tonight and I was really glad he scored. Left Barry to battle in the middle and maybe give that shambolic defense some protection - Barry was often caught out of position because he was also marking lampards man.
Wayne Bridge, no wonder only Fulham wanted him last season.
Mclaren didn't learn though did he? we played 4-3-3 it just didn't work and doesn't work with the players we have. He went 4-4-2 we looked a bit more stable and looked like we could of got something from the game - what did he do when chasing the game? he went for a 4-3-3 formation again.
If Joe Cole was struggling he should of brought on hargreaves and played him in front of the defence to protect them and let the other two roam forward hoping we'd get something.
Oh well, Wonder who we'll have in the 2010 world cup qualifiers?

The first time I realised Lampard was playing is when he stepped up to take the penalty.
To many players went missing tonight but then when you have a wimp as a manager who couldn't instill anything into the team what so you expect.
Always playing systems which don't suit the English player and fancy sticking Crouchy up front to win headers in the first half and not have anyone to feed off the knock downs.
It's time to get a man in charge and not a FA puppet.

As soon as we equalised it showed McClaren shouting for the players to sit back and this invited them onto us , pathetic

The outcome the Sven Outeers deserved. End of. He wasn't perfect but he'd have got us to at least the last eight next summer. The penny may drop when the first game kicks off in Austria/Switzerland or when it hits home that England do not have a competitive game now for eleven months or so!
That group was a piece of piss. None of the home nations or the so called football powers had a group as easy as this one and we failed to qualify. Just like I said we wouldn't when this Muppet was appointed.
Lampard, Carson, Lescott and Bridge shouldn't have been anywhere near that team last night and their performances confirmed that. The rest bar Crouch and Becks weren't much better. You know your deep in the **** when you then see Darren Bent coming on when you are chasing the game! Rubbish Rubbish Rubbish!!
I can't believe it's 9 hours since full time and the **** hasn't done the decent thing yet. Says it all about theman IMHO.
Only the none too bright can see now that Martin O'Neill is, like he was when McLaughable was laughably given the job is our best hope to turn this side into a team capable of making a favourable impact on a major tournement. If we had an F.A with any Spine or intelligence (which we don't) he'd have his seat at Soho Square before Christmas.
Just **** off McLaren and take Lampard with you!!

Agree with all that Chuckle but Croatia are no mugs and Bilic tactically has run rings round McClaren twice now. They are a decent if not top rank side which makes it even more sickening that he wouldn't tender his resignation

surely, its time to drop lampard in centre n give EJ a call up? also, wethers must be knocking at the door for a call up after lescotts peerformance?
bridge was shockin! lescott and campbell looked lost, carson was thrown in at the deep end, lampard is toss anyway, cole is a right footed left winger! wright phillips wont take on a man hee just runs at them n then gets muscled off it

You are a blinkered dick sometimes Dave...
Gerard had the worst game i have ever seen last night..
Did he even make a pass???
I saw plenty of wasted crosses aimed at SWP...Plenty of over driven passes that even Linford wouldnt of got near in his day...Captain!!!Thank fook Terry is the normal one as he is about as inspiring as leaving your kids safe in the hands of the Glitter nursary ffs...
At least when the team was built around Becks he gave a fooking Captains performance..
Last night he was shite and it isnt the first time...Captain marvel didnt step up for the Pen either did he...Did he fook no balls when it came down to that was there..
The game was ruined in midfield last night and in the main it was down to the poor distribution form Stevie G...
Lampard may not of been the best last night but when everything goes via Gerard and it then goes pete tong hardly surprising no one else gets a go..
Fooking joke mate...Gets some fooking balls and admit that Gerard was one of the worst two players on the pitch after Bridge and his poor distribution and wasteful crosses and free kicks cost us dearly...
But you cannot can you...
Difference being i hated Crouch but i now see him as Liverpools best striker and not for the first time i have said his perfoirmances for England have been top draw..
You mate stick to blaming the same folk whilst spouting shite about your faves who constantly under perform....

I agree entirely even though I am a massive errard fan. He has been poor for England for a while now. His demeanour gave the impression he was not interested. Maybe the captain's armband is weighing him down but he was arguiably the worst player on the pitch lat night.

An average club manager managing a Huge world team? It never made me feel like we were going to go places with Mclaren. When we got back to 2-2 all we did was sit back, how many times in english football do we sit back when we feel we have done the job?
All credit to Croatia though, their passing and movement on the break was excellent and it's no wonder there goal difference was +20 in the table, they deserved a win and we deserved to be knocked out, if we couldn't take a "take no prisonors" attitude against the other MEDIOCORE teams in this table, we didn't deserve a lucky escape into the next stage (Hoping that Andora would draw again Russia?! As Gary "walkers" Liniker said last night a team that hasnt won in 28 group games is a bit poor...
For me the selection was wrong, you go with experience in this type of game, James infront of carson (Carson was obv nervous but did try his best even if he made a massive mistake first goal)... Wayne Brdige, i mean WTF - Totally off the pace the guy needed a rocket up his ass..... Lampard and gerrard were quiet and SWP trying to get to the second ball from crouchs head? Pathetic..... Beckhams crossing should have been implemented early on -then with 60 mins in to game SWP come on with pace when opp are lacking in stamina?!
Beckham may be 33 and can't play a whole game but he works hard bringing the team together - just what he did when he came on
Well done to certain players - Crouch, Richards, Campbell not too bad, Joe cole tried.... but We need a manager whos going to have the back done to drop these so called world class players and really make them want it for their country..... no wonder the likes of Guss Hiddink was laughing at us a month ago....
Lets look to the future though!
