Best and most honest appraisal of football in this country and a real criticism of the authorities and how they are killing football in this country. Names names and offers to help for free. Absolutely spot on and he's bloody Aussie. He says we all the time, a guy that made his name in this country and respects that.
The right foot left foot is spot on. When I was a kid I was told to tackle and get rid, not spend time controlling it with both feet or close control dribbling. Perhaps you can tell on a Thursday! :D
About time someone had the balls to be honest about the situation, shamer it had to be an Aussie.

Arsene Wenger has also volunteered to help with selection. I can understand he doesn't want to do it, seems to be his feeling that as a frenchman he shouldn't manage the english national team, but another one who respects that he makes his name in england and is willing to help put something back.
Will the FA take these people up on these offers?
Nah didn't think so.

Yep. He said on the interview that I've seen on tv it's not like he needs a job, he's minted having been involved in several boot designs, the predator was the first big one he designed. So not like he's after any brass he's just angry and wants to help.

Right, ok, so what happens between then and the seniors????? Why if the U-21s are so good aren't they being included in the seniors, good enough old enough etc.
You watch, 2 or 3 of them at U-21s will turn out to be something special, the rest will fade away and make up the numbers.

This country has a problem cos most kids who want to be pros only ever want to be strikers cos they get the most fame most money we are not producing enough specialist positions like wingers and full backs

I have a lways been a full back. Some may say there's the problem! I'm not the best so I plaeyd in defence.
I disagree. I think the reason they want to be strikers is cos they score goals, we need a mentality that says you can score form anywhere. Look at the Italians, they have defenders who are comfortable on the ball and can play with it even at the back. best example we have of a defender who is comfortable on the ball and can pass it or run with it is Ferdinand but he is a rare breed.
We need to do what CJ is saying, teach kids to keep the ball, get better control and touch and learn to enjoy playing technically sound football.
At least this sacking has created debate about sorting it out from the top. You can't sort it out bottom up you have to have the right philosophy from the top down.
