For all the banter (and abuse) he's received from City fans over the years, he's still one of us.
Good luck Jacko.

Yep, good luck. Wouldn't wish it any decent human being, of which he is definately one. Like he says, he's a strong man, sure he'll be well again soon.

I'll echo all the above - was a great captain for us in his younger days.

One of my heroes, a city legend in his first stint, great young captain - hope he recovers from it ok.....
His management relies on him shouting and balling - i always cringed hearing him bellowing, always sounded like he had a sore throat too - altho i'm sure its not related......gonna struggle to manage not being able to shout for a while!!

I've always admired the guy. I wouldnt have minded him being the city gaffer, despite the fall out between the fans and him.
Take care and good luck, jacko.

I watched that too, his throat did sound bad, but he was shouting constantly! No idea if it's related.

do you really think it matters if he doesn't??:(
Brian Clough
George Best
Both got tributes on here but did it matter if their families read them?
Things like this are for us to openly comment on situations affecting football heroes whether they be our own or not.... and it helps clear the soul.
Anyway... he's ex-City and a bradford lad so maybe he does!!
