Having read so much blame aimed at Omar for last weeks defeat i'd just like to say....
Though Daley had a poor game last week he still wasnt the worst we had on the pitch and still was our most potent threat. (by far the most shots on goal, both on and off target)
What end result does both the manager and a load of fans want by just blaming Daley for a **** team performance and some terrible subs by McCall??
Its picking on the easy target if you ask me and its all wrong. Im no saint and shout out some real shite when i want to at games but last week i seemed to be surrounded by racist idiots in the Bantams Bar stand who were at Omar from the off, one Pikey Bloke (clearly a Keighley boy) even had the stupidity to stand up and shout '**** off Daley you Black *******' -now thats out of order and i'v heard similar too many times.tdwn:
As for McCall's public coments saying he shouldn't have picked Daley, thats bollocks too - of course he should have picked him as you always should pick your best eleven(and Daley is in our best 3). It would have been nice for McCall to hold his hands up and say 'tactically i got it all wrong in the 2nd half, the team were not up for it and my substitutions were naive at best, i failled to get the team fired up at half-time. Omar didnt have the best game and perhaps he would have been a better option to change rather than Thorny or Penford who combined well for the goal.'
Its a kop-out when a manager singles out a player for a loss when he has it in his power to take them off, i'd expect better from McCall.

I rate Daley when he puts effort in, he's our best player by a long way, but how often does he do that?
I think what annoys people is he's got the potential to scare anyone in this division witless yet he does it maybe 3 or 4 times a game when you know if he puts a bit of elbow grease a la Accrington away he could be a potential threat for a whole half which ultimately unsettled their entire team. We don't pay him to stand around being marked with his hands on his hips but it seems most of the time that's what he's doing.
Look at Bishop last week, never stopped running and gave our defence the right runaround, that's why he's a match winner and rated at £400k whereas Omar blows hot and cold and is still slumming it down here.
I agree though the racism is well out of order and this guy should be kicked out on his arse.

His shots on target ratio can't be that wonderful - sure he can be a match winner but he's so up and down it's crazy.
He was abysmal last Saturday and should have been hauled off - why he wasn't when we had other options earlier in the game is beyond me - that's the managers decision though.

I dont think Omar got any more stick on here than JoCo did after the Macc game for a similar performance, do you?
As for the racist abuse, we know who the guy and his family are so would you expect any better?
Is it really any worse than you calling Wetherall an "old *******" or any worse than away fans who used to call Deano a "fat *******"?

In a word yes!
Why?
Can you tell me why one personal insult is worse than another?
I know racial insults are banning offences at football matches but whats the difference between calling someone a "black *******" or another person a "fat, old, ginger coont?"
Im not condoning what this guy said about Omar in any way but whats the difference?
Just playing Devils advocate :flame:

I once reported a guy to the steward in the kop for calling Jamie Lawrence a 'black *******' & he was warned. I told him i was going to do it but didn't believe i would.
This same guy once told Cadamarteri to 'F**k off the pitch' when it was Muirhead so i think he was a bit of a mentalist anyway but theres no need for it. Call em crap or whatever but whats the colour got to do with it?

Thats just it though, Daley's performance was no where near the level of Colbecks consistant below par performances, yet you dont hear McCall slamming him do you?
Also there was other performances just as bad as Daley's who havent had a mention either, the old *******:flame: at centre half had a nightmare and was in Bury's forwards pockets for 90 minutes!!
as i said, i agree Daley had a poor game by his standards, but others have to answer for the result - not him!!

McCall gave all the team a thumbs down for the second half and did not single out Daley, other than to say mid week internationals don't make for a winning performance on the Saturday.
As for the racist abuse - was it the same guy/thug who was kicked out of the bantams bar last season for verbally abusing one of the bar staff? (still carrying his pint as he went out with the stewards - not frogmarched backwards like they do with the young kids).

Nah, it was that old (mid 50's) scruffy bloke who comes with his family, you will know them to look at, he's shaped like big ted with grey hair, his wife looks like frodo, and their sons mother is his Aunt:eek:. The father grunts a lot and wanks when barry Conlon comes on.

He was the worst player on the pitch today imo! The lazy ******* didn't even look like he wanted the ball today, Starosta had a go at him in the second half after he went on a run and needed support from Daley. Daley just smiled and shrugged! He needs dropping because it was like we were playing with 10 men today!

To be fair Northern he ran straight into Daley and Daley was thinking 'what the fooooooooooook' so Daley had a go at him, Starosta tried having a go at him but Daley didn't care.
Sulker.
Anyway am off out again!

To be equally fair the move that led to our goal was created by Daley's run.

I think even Colbeck over 90 minutes would have given us more options.

Attacking wise, I don't think Daley and Starosta work well together down the right, Daley and Williams seemed to have a good playing relationship and were combining quite well before he was dropped, whereas these two just don't seem to dwell at all.
Daley seems to prefer the ball played into his feet whereas Starosta is keener to overlap a lot more than Williams seemed to, and they just don't seem to be on the same wavelength at all.

I'm surprised Satrosta didn't lamp the lazy shite. Looks like that 3.5 year contract has made Omar Lazy.
Starosta ran 40 yards up the wing. Daley just stood there and watched him. No attempt to drag a man away from Starosta with a run, or a run into space to receive the ball. He eventually just got in the way.
He is one of our most capable players, but thinks he's fecking Pele. I bet Pele could still cover more ground today.

Dont forget the amount of times Willy was waiting for the lazy twat to make a run down the wing/in the gap between full-back and center half, but the fooker just stood on the touchline!

Ah yes, you mean the times he cunningly lines himself up with Topp and two defenders in between so Topp has no chance of finding him? How could I forget that?! He did that most of the second half.
