Can I thank everyone who attended my book talk in the upstairs museum on Saturday - and of course all those who bought the book - very much appreciated. If only events on the field had been as successful.

cheers

It's about people who are obsessed with sport. There's a few City bits in, seeing as I followed the team for years (despite missing THAT match v Burnley when we snatched a draw with only 9 men on the field - the reason for that made clear in the book !)

I think it's Oxford United.
The design department at the publishers came up with several options for a cover. The one chosen was the one that it was considered would work best.
If we'd had me in the photo, then it would have been done at either VP or Silsden FC.

Anorak, we were at the race night at VP last week, organised by the BCST. The city Gent people were there but this was not mentioned. :(

They were probably too busy ! The City Gent team have been really supportive - there is a review of the book in the next issue of CG. The T&A did a really good near full page review today !

It wasn't a city gent event so I can't knock them for not advertising it, I doubt also that BCST were aware, and had they been they would have supported advertising it. We work well with Mike as well as Dave Pendleton in the museum and I like to think there is a bit of joined up thinking there from different supporters groups. Objectively I have noticed more unity among the various fans groups of late than we have had before, which in my opinion can only be a good thing.

Aye, CG advertised it in the T&A, as discussed earlier. I can't knock anyone, as it was a successful afternoon.
