Really, really p*ssed off after reading that "we" are giving support to that lot in their legal battle.
If City had been unable to come to a CVA do you think we'd have been allowed to kick off the next season with a deduction, or would the rules have been followed and seen us kicked out of the league?
I know which one I'd expect to have happened.

The publicity shy Mr Rhodes never speaks about City but instead he makes a statement supporting our biggest rivals - what an idiot !

This does not suprise me. Our Chairman were one of the few clubs to vote in favour of L666s getting the 15 point deduction back. If you look at the list of teams that voted for them to get the points back most of them were clubs that had gone into administration.

I hate L**ds more than anyone but maybe JR wants to keep on amicable terms with the scum as we might need a few of their youth players like Ben Parker in the future?
On the other hand I was once told JR was a L**ds fan as a kid, maybe this explains a lot about his our position and his support for the white shites predicament?

If we were in as a healthy a position as Mark Lawn makes out, why on earth would we rely on youth players from a team a mere one division higher? So why would that be a reason??
I prefer the one that says for a so called City Fan the ****wit clearly doesn't know they tried to put City under in 1983 over a 10k debt we owed them for Trevor Cherry.

Maybe due to us over the years being a feeder club for their ageing players..
Of which we have had many who have served this club well..
So to keep that link is a good thing..
Plus everyone in footy knows Leeds were screwed over points wise..You do not have to like them to see that..
Dave's comments can be ignored on anything to do with JR as it is the same stuff redressed each time..

And you clearly have no brain. At no point in Rhodes stewardship have City ever improved their previous season's league position. That's a decline in my eyes, but then again I don't walk around with them closed do I?

In what way?
According to the FL's rules, they shouldn't have been allowed to play in the league, the 15 points is a compromise they were lucky to get, and one that more than likely wouldn't have been offered to a "smaller" club.

As much as I hate Leeds, It's not the club that should be punished.
Maybe the league should say "Ken, Leave Leeds and accept a life time ban from Football and we'll give you back your points".
I can see the reasonings behind why Julian's said - not the best of times to of said what he's said though. The creditors, haven't gained anything from Leeds getting an extra 15 points - Teams who hate Leeds have had a good old laugh at their expense but who's gained?
If the league had it's head screwed on properly it would give the points back and when Leeds then gain promotion force them to up there offer to creditors to 50p in the pound.
Julian is a life long City fan, so i'll go with Parrots theory of youth players :-)

Well said. Even the most vociferous amongst us against Rhodes have said that those in glass houses should not throw stones. We should not criticise Leeds for their actions in challenging the points deductions but maybe a message of support is going too far. Why not keep it private if that is his personal opinion. It only serves to alienate our co-owner from his fellow fans even further than he has already done in 5+ years of poor business administration of the club. And on that I agree with Chucks, notwithstanding that I admire and respect JR for continuously trying to bail out the CLub, he has hardly succeeded in getting us anywhere near break-even or reversing our fortunes on the pitch. Only when a fellow investor decides to change things have we looked more stable off the field and now with a motivator like McCall we all have a little more hope that things on the pitch will improve, despite seeing little evidence of it so far.
Onwards and upwards! ;)

How can you lay the blame solely at Ken Bates' feet? As has been pointed out countless times on other threads, the chairman is not solely responsible for the bad financial management of a club. All the other board members are responsible as well.
I thought the they were given a 15 point deduction rather than 10 because they didn't follow league rules by not agreeing a CVA. Whether the league were right to do that I wouldn't like to say but surely there should be some punishment for not following the rules? A fine would hardly have been appropriate considering Bates was saying the club were skint.

I don't blame him for the mess that Leeds were in when he took over, But when he took over he said he could manage the debt and pay everyone in full. He then put them in admin, took them through admin and brought them out the other end in a very very suspious way.

The 15 point deduction was nothing to do with the 10.
They got the 10 point deduction for going into admin, as per the rules, they were allowed to compete in the league this season with a 15 point deduction despite not having a CVA in place.
Every other club who have been in admin pre-season have been told they would not be allowed to start the season without a CVA, as per the leagues own rules.
Apart from MK Dons I wouldn't like to see any club go bust, but if the rules had been followed for Leeds (like every other club were made to) they wouldn't have been playing this season, or the major creditors (Bates and this dodgy holdings company which obviously he has nothing to do with, honest) would have agreed to a deal in time.

Rhodes probably realised that sitting in a big greenhouse it wouldn't be wise to start throwing stones around!!.....
Take the blind hatred specs off and the 15 point deduction was grossly unfair and woulldn't have been applied to any other club - apart from maybe the exception of Cardiff or Millwall who are similarly despised....

Not really Leicester got a free brand new ground out of it and brought in a whole new team the other side of Admin..
Leicester showed everything that was wrong with the admin route...Well done to them but they were miles better at screwing their investors etc over..
