Citys pre-season Games

I may have missed this being mentioned before but having just looked out of curiosity at whether any pre-season games had been announced i came across the full list on the official site. A game against the Dingles and Oldham at VP. I was hoping for a game somewhere close to the North East (even York would have done) but no such look. Even Harrogate midweek is a tough one to get to.

cheap as chips as far as City are concerned i suppose - Harrogate away for us and thats all as off on hols then before the big kick off - strategic planning to exnsure we are back around the 7th or 8th August :-)

It was Paul Topping on here and I'm sure he'll be back soon. The new university at Montegnée is opening in August and the setting up is taking up round the clock attention.

I think it would be quite a nice idea to have a couple of pre-season matches around here (e.g. Liège, Aachen and Maastricht - just look at the map how close they are in Belgium, Germany and Holland) but I don't know if anybody in Bradford would be interested in coming over for a week or so. Could be a nice week away from home if it were possible.

It would be great for me if it could happen. Maybe next year? You people could come over and look at the RRFCM set-up. Would that sort of tour be interesting?

I'd love it for a pre season game to be at Montegnee - its the sort of pre season the lads should be having, as it promotes team bonding as well as playing a different type of football (and seeing as we will hopefully be having a team of new faces next season, then getting the team to gel will be v important). Tbh, I thought that this is exactly one of the reasons we did the deal with Montegnee, and am suprised that there isn't a trip planned.
I'd defo be up for coming down to Belgium to see the match, Montegnee and sample a few Orval and Delerium Tremens! :)

Me and the lad would be coming over if they do something at Montegnee. Sunflower owes me a beer and I have a mate in Liege so it would be a good do.

If nothing comes of it we will have to go and watch the Tour de France instead :)
