So you are just surmising.
As for the redbook bit and sauces, i dont know if you have noticed, but i havent posted any inside gossip for around 18 months and it will remain that way.
No alter-ego can post in City talk according to the site rules, but i have my inclinations of who it could be and your one of them, always pointing the finger to escape detection, hmmmmm :D

How's that. I really don't think McCall will be looking at another left midfielder, when Nix, Daley and Brandon can all play there.

Left mid has to be a priority, its natural to Nix but both Daley & Brandon have come under scrutiny ant their clubs for being poor on the left.
& McCall prefers Nix in the middle on last years showing.
I'll be very surprised if we dont bring in a natural left sided player.

I don think that left mid will be a priority at all, because we have people who can play there whether it be there best position or not - Daley (if he gets his finger out!), Nix, Brandon, Topp.
I honestly think that we have three priorities that aire crucial:
- Centre Mid - we only have Bullock who can play there at the mo
- Centre Back - Clarke is permenantly injured, meaning that we only really have Bower and poss Ainge
- Striker - Thorne and Topp (Conlon is only on a six month deal)
I am getting as anxious as anyone with the lack of signings, paticularly noticing the activity of some others, but I am hoping that there may be a few lined up for the beginning of July.
P.S: God knows whats happening with Bruno - could he be waiting on Leceister with us as his "back-up"?

Left mid was one of our problem position all last season, we alternated between Rhodes, Daley & Nix & Stu never settled on any of them because we were not a threat. I'll be amazed if a natural left footer isnt brought in!!
also we have Nix who can play in the middle with Bollock. Though as i'v said before a Stu type midfielder is also a must !!

Urgently needed;
Goalkeeper, center back, midfield general and left midfielder.
2nd priorities;
RB cover (?) and another striker?
Thats how I see it anyhow.

I completly forgot about our lack of a keeper - we need at last 5 players then, although, I wont be suprised if a couple are loans.

For me priorities are GK, CB, CM (to a lesser extent), and CF. Oops - that's an entire spine of a team.
Then second priority is a RB as cover (in all probability a loan player or a kid from somewhere), another CF (to replace Medley).
I expect Graeme Lee or Darren Moore will be one CB. Don't know why Luke Beckett hasn't been snapped up (unless his knee is that bad). Then seems either Rob Burch or Tommy Lee are the front runners for the GK position. Then that's three of those positions filled.
My team would be
GK - Burch / Lee
RB - Arnison
LB - Heckingbottom
CB - Moore / Lee
CB - Clarke / Bower
RM - Colbeck
LM - Daley
CM - Bullock
CM - Brandon
CF - Thorne
CF - Beckett / ANOther / Topp
Although I don't think we need another left midfielder, I agree it's a key position, and McCall may well chop and change there yet.

How about Nix and Brandon who you named and happens to be certainly NIx's and possibly Brandons BEST position then we could sign the left midfielder.
Or we could stick with your idea and play a CM on the left and a left midfielder in the middle............. Just a thought like

I cant f**king believe you have avtually written that!!! Go have a quiet word with yourself in the corner!!!!
It has to be the biggest problem we have right now (bar needing a keeper). 2 right footers and an extremely slow left footer do not make us strong in that position - far from it! As has been said if Macca was happy with any of the above mentioned why would he have rotated them like nobodys business last season!!!

The new physio can play left midfield so maybe he might be given a chance pre season.
Just a thought

everybody needs to forget about the left midfielder who is a physio....his playing registration was retained by his old club. that means he is ineligible to play for us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wrote it, because McCall has said he's not after a left winger. If he was offered one and he couldn't see no, then he'd sign them, but he is not actively searching for a left winger. Don't expect one to sign.

I used to think that Brandon would play cm, and maybe it is still a possible, but I honestly dont think he will. Mccall will want strength in there, and will therefore be more likely to sign someone like Wallwork. This is only my opinion of what I think will happen, and not necessarily what is right. Nix definatly looks better in there than out wide, but I doubt Brandon will play there in a Mccall system - he is too attacking.

I do know Chris Lumsdon, from Carlisle, is interested in signing for us. He's asked McCall to give him a call, and as far as I'm aware, McCall has rung him.
Exactly what wage Lumsdon is on (£1,500k+?), whether he would demand a transfer fee, and how he would fit into the central midfield, I don't know. And I certainly don't know what happened once McCall rung him. But Lumson is one option.

I would be quite happy if that turns out to be true!
I don't believe we need massive names to sign for us! Graeme Lee and Aaron brown mentioned and i feel these are decent players who aren't huge names like Moore.
