- He only played 18 games for Oldham last year, and was benched towards the end of the season. Rumour has it that he might be on his way out of Boundary Park. He would be immense alongside Thorne, but cant see his attitude fitting in with Mccalls regime.

He was linked with someone in Scotland, but there was a problem over the fee I think. No point in us paying £100,000+ for a player when we can get one just as good for less.

I like Hughes but i think it would be a step back he didnt do himself justice at oldham.
